Facing another decision about U.S. troop levels in Iraq by spring, President Bush said Saturday it's "fine with me" if generals recommend no more reductions than those already planned to take the force posture down to about 130,000.

Traveling for the next few days among Sunni Arab-ruled states jittery about the rising influence and ambitions of Shiite-majority Iran, Bush used part of remarks here that were focused on Iraq to put Tehran on notice -- again.

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS DESERVEDLY DEAD

It is impossible to understand why there are still people who claim to believe that a Republican has a chance of winning the presidency this year after seven years of Bush Republicans supporting, enabling and protecting the worst and most heinously destructive president and vice president in American history.

The Republican well has been so contemptuously poisoned by an extremist president and vice president that have committed the worst abuses of power our democracy have ever experienced. They have schemed and lied to pervert our democracy into a corporatism that is greedily exploits the middle, working class and disadvantaged Americans. And from now until Election Day, voters will be witnessing Bush's and Cheney's shamelessly dishonest, corrupt and criminal efforts to hide and cover-up what they've done, as well as try to drive their destructive policies down America"s throat. Why would any democracy loving American citizen still choose to drink from a Republican well that with each passing day is becoming more and more contaminated by the toxic evils of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney? There is no punishment commensurate to their crimes against America and mankind.

Put his daughters in a uniform and send them over there and suddenly it will be a priority to wrap things up. The war profiteers have made their money, now they are just being greedy.

Didn't I hear something about mission accomplished? Four f*!?ing years ago! How many lives is this sociopath going to sacrifice in his quest for $100 a barrel oil? The existing "fear factor" is worth about $30+ a barrel. Do the math...
What's really dangerous is the worldwide perception of GWB actually representing the typical American. I just hope the Iranian people did as poor a job letting the religious right vet their leader as we did.

Why are my posts disappearing? Hmmm! Cut and paste, cut and paste.

It's hard for me to adhere to the notion that America is the land of the free, the home of the brave. If that were so, why does 50% percent of the population continue to support aggression against an impotent foe in Iraq? Doesn't sound so goddamn brave to me. You know, if it walks like a duck...

So the Pres wants to follow his General's recommendation IF that happens. Wow. I can't believe this guy! He should really take the Johnson model of War Management School Internet Course. Johnson will make it clear, as Hitler and Stalin proved, Generals are disposable, the guy in charge is indispensible.

Extend the war? Let's look at some cost estimates of a year ago by a Nobel economist:

Inspiring to have a leader like this.

Of course, it doesn't bother him.

He will be defending our nation on the critical front in Crawford to prevent a sneak attack from Mexico or Honduras as he successfully did during Viet Nam.

Let me see if I hear some of you correctly: impeaching Bush and/or Cheney will end the insanity.

Pray tell how that will end ANYTHING? Don't we generally accept that Bush/Cheney, to a greater or lesser degree, are puppets, not puppet masters?

There is only ONE solution to the problem that is America's political corruption, and it isn't impeachment.

Anyone with a brain should look at this miserable failure and see what miserable failures put him in office. The GOP should be abolished because it is the party of bottom feeding, knuckle dragging, troglodytes who hate government or are too ignorant to realize what the morons they vote for are really up to. They hate government and want to steal our tax dollars to give them to the greedy corporations who are not for our welfare but for the welfare of the owners.
