Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has won the endorsement of two fellow Democratic senators from the heartland _ Ben Nelson, a popular moderate in largely Republican Nebraska and Claire McCaskill from Missouri, historically a bellwether in presidential contests.

Nelson said Saturday he believes Obama has ability to bridge the partisan divide and to carry Democratic candidates across the country to victory in 2008. Nelson, pledging his support for his Illinois colleague, said Obama has "the greatest potential to ending the bitterness and poisonous atmosphere in Washington."

McCaskill plans to announce her support for the Illinois senator Sunday, according to an Obama aide and a McCaskill staffer who spoke Saturday on condition of anonymity so as not to upstage the announcement.

Her endorsement is expected to be a major boost for Obama in Missouri, one of nearly two dozen states holding primaries or caucuses on Feb. 5, and could help Obama woo female voters in his race against New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, his chief rival for the Democratic nomination.

GETTING AN ENDORSEMENT FROM NEBRASKA'S ACTING REPUBLICAN (ELECTED AS A DEMOCRAT) IS LIKE GETTING ONE FROM JOE LIBBERMAN. THIS MAN VOTES WITH THE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN MORE THAN MOST ELECTED REPUBLICAN. HE MAKES ME WANT TO DENY THAT I CAME FROM NEBRASKA. Obama has shown me he that he has no character. He can be sanctimonious about bringing people together while his supporters are the viliest name calling liars I have ever witnessed

Mctwoface is another prime example of a true American politician. Lots of gibberish , lots of false promises. but when it comes down to the wire, she will always vote with the money!
I lived in the state of Missery way to long, and I can tell you first hand that Missouri really is the " Show me the Money" State.

I like that whole "Red State Senators" thing.

Talk about cheesy,obvious,amateur-hour agit-prop.

You've sure been watching your Fox News.

If you are thinking about voting for Hillary Clinton first ask yourself these questions:

Do you agree with Hillary's vote in favor of the Kyl-Lieberman amendment?

Do you agree with Bill Clinton's bombing the pharmaceutical plant in the Sudan which eventually killed tens of thousands due to lack of medicine?

Do you agree with Hillary's appointing Sandy Berger as one of her National Security advisors? Berger plead guilty to stealing and destroying classified intelligence documents (they were related to 9/11).

Do you agree with Hillary's having Mark Penn as one of her chief strategists (a major voice for her campaign) who represents Blackwater and is a known union buster?

Do you agree with the Clinton's support of NAFTA?

Do you agree with Hillary's voting against increasing fuel economy and the production of renewable fuels like Ethanol?

Do you agree with Hillary's mandated health care plan that to this day leaves out the consequences for middle to lower income families who can't afford the rates she is proposing?

Do you agree with Hillary's statement in regards to social security that the majority of Americans in this country make over 90,000 dollars a year?

Do you agree with Hillary's voting against providing seniors with a prescription drug benefit?

Do you agree with Hillary's support and defense of lobbyists?

Do you agree with Hillary's support of current bankruptcy laws that continue to hurt lower income Americans and small businesses?

Do you agree with Hillary's opposition against a level playing field so that people who pay for health insurance out of their own pocket get the same tax break the big corporations get for providing health care benefits to their employees?

Did you know that Hillary is against allowing people to shop for health insurance across state lines like we do with auto insurance?

Did you know that Hillary has voted for penalizing senior citizens who have those private health care plans through Medicare?

Do you agree with Hillary's voting for the authorization of the Iraq war and not reading the NIE report?

WITHOUT APOLOGY, I WILL BE POSTING THIS ON THREADS THROUGHOUT HUFFINGTON POST FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS:

TOPIC: AFTER RECEIVING A LETTER FROM NBC ON DECEMBER 28, 2007, THAT DENNIS KUCINICH HAD MET ALL THEIR CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN THEIR DEBATE ON JANUARY 15, 2008, NBC HAS NOW DECIDED TO "RE-DO" THEIR CRITERIA, AND EXCLUDE DENNIS KUCINICH FROM THE DEBATE.

I received an email from The PEN (People's Email Network) today...Please join in protecting our rights:

"How Dare NBC Presume To Determine Which Candidates Are Worth Hearing
From?

We are sick and tired up to here of having the corporate media with
their fist on the scales during our election process. It is a self
fulfilling fix to feature certain candidates over others in their
coverage, and then crowd out those cheated of effective visibility in
the first place.

All candidates who meet the criteria must be allowed to participate
and be given fair and equal time. If candidates want to drop out,
that is their personal decision, as quite a number already have. But
it is outrageous, undemocratic and unpatriotic for NBC to play judge,
jury and executioner at this still early juncture. We have ready seen
multiple huge shifts in expected candidate rankings in just the first
caucus and first actual primary election. They can project a winner
in a particular race AFTER all the votes have been cast, not before.

If the voice who you believe best represents you on the issues is
being excluded from the debates, we need to tell NBC to back off, and
stop meddling with our democracy. You can call their programming department on the
phone at 212-664-4444.

The only thing that would be "fatal" would be another neo-con Rep. President. The present one will pass on an America in deep ---- peril!

Is this the same Clair McCaskill that, if elected, was going to make Missouri the stem cell research capitol of the world? How is she doing so far?

McCaskill I donated to your election campaign, but sister your ass will learn to whistle before I donate again, to hell with you.

If you are supporting Obama or Clinton you are part of the problem. They are both corporatists.

I like Obama a lot, but then I also liked John Kerry and Al Gore. I see all three of them have the same problem, they won't fight back at the swiftboaters. That makes them all losers.

I don't like HRC all that much, but I can see her fighting back, and loving every second of it. That makes her a winner.

These days, winning an election with nice talk about a "message of inclusion" isn't going to work. This isn't 1960.

Winning modern elections is more like surviving a knife fight against a bunch of thugs. So, who's the meanest, most coniving, backstabbing Demo you can think of? That's your best choice.

On a Sunday conference call announcing her support for Barack Obama, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill spoke about the way in which Obama warned the freshmen senators elected in 2006 to be weary of more senior senators who would pretend to support ethics reform without really wanting to see it succeed.

Wow, Barack SCHEMING against your fellow senators one would think you are a typical Washington politician....but SCHEMING against your own party...one should give pause and think! Trust? I don't think so!

That's right Claire, party before people! You were afraid that a Clinton candidacy would hurt YOUR chances of a governorship! YOUR!

Of course they are supporting Obama. They are really closeted Republicans and know that it will be much easier for the Republican candidate to beat him than Hillary.

!!! CHECK THIS OUT !!!

BOTH Senator Ben Nelson -AND- Senator Claire McCaskill are directly listed as 'The Candidates' at Obama's HOPEFUND PAC!!! Do these Obama 'endorsements' really surprise anyone ??? And take a good look and you will see that Ned Lamont is listed as well at the HOPEFUND PAC website. (See link below)

If this doesn't raise any eyebrows, then you clearly are not awake!

Now, at this point, I'm not going to make any accusations, but I distinctly remember The Washington Post writing the following about Obama's HOPEFUND PAC:

"When Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) launched his presidential campaign in January, he stopped raising money for his Hopefund, the political action committee he used to raise millions for fellow Democrats in previous campaigns. But in recent months, Obama has handed out more than $180,000 from the nearly dormant PAC to local Democratic groups and candidates in the key early-voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, campaign reports show.

Some of the recipients of Hopefund's largess are state and local politicians who have recently endorsed Obama's presidential bid. Obama's PAC reported giving a $1,000 contribution, for instance, to New Hampshire state Sen. Jacalyn Cilley on July 25, six days before she announced she was endorsing Obama for president.

Likewise, state Rep. J. Todd Rutherford, a lawmaker from South Carolina, received a $1,000 contribution from Obama's PAC on Sept. 24, a few months after he endorsed Obama."
