Johnny Depp Gives Over $2M To The Hospital That Saved His Daughter

Johnny Depp secretly visited Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday to donate 1 million pounds of his own money to thank staff for saving his daughter's life.

He arrived unexpectedly at the London children's hospital where eight-year-old Lily-Rose was treated last year when her kidneys failed.

I think any of us would do the same if we were able. Our family participates in every fundraiser Toronto Sick Kids hospital has because of the extraordinary lengths it went to to treat one of my family members. I know if any of us came into a great deal of money, it would be first on our list.

I wasn't aware Depp's daughter was ill but I'm glad to read that she's well. There isn't anything worse in the world than having a child that ill.

I'm as big a fan of Depps than most. I happen to think he's one of a handful of the greats! IMO you can put him up there w: Brando, Dean, Montgomery Clift, etc.

I think he's the closest thing to Jimmy Dean I've ever seen! He wasn't born into the hollywood elite. Born into humble beginnings. You realize how difficult it would be to break into the Alist of crowds?

But back to the subject at hand: if I were in his fincial background and something similiar had happened to one of my love ones I would have done the same goddamn thing! Bravo Depp, I only wish I had the freedom to do such a thing.
