If Nevada's last Democratic presidential debate was a Vegas boxing match, tonight's is an Old West duel.

Three candidates remain in serious contention. Two have each won a state. Their goal: Shoot to kill.

"Nevada is at the center of the storm right now," said national political expert Larry Sabato, director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia. "This is one of those crapshoot races that could go in any direction."

This just in: The Nevada Supreme Court said that Dennis Kucinich will shut the fuck up now. And his backers, who would stand in the way of corporate America (which is like our father), will also shut up or they will be dealt with accordingly.

I'm so tired of the big knobs making decisions that cut off the voice of, arguably, fewer voices. The DLC that used to cut off candidates even efore primaries, and now the mega monopolied MSM. All in the quest of cutting off a portion of the People's voice that should at least get a hearing.

I believe that serious consideration should be given to ending many of these media licenses to operate, for contriving to 'manage' the People's ability to KNOW what the issues are.

Good God, a hack like Tweety or O'Riely gets to have more say about our politics than Kucinich, a publicly elected Representative.

The power to have a public voice is vital, and what is going on is the curtailment of those running for public office. It is disgusting, but very much in line with a state/corporate media that uses control to get what they want.

Subject: UPDATE: A Small Sign of Democracy Alive in NV (not)

I guess I spoke too soon. Tonight, instead of watching a debate, I'll be mourning the death of the country where I was born.

Those of you who have tougher stomachs than I, may wish to watch the replacement program, "Which Warmonger will You Vote For? OR Who Wants to Elect a Millionaire?"

Peace ... if you can find it.

====================================================================================
Proud to be a part of, in the words of Mike Huckabee, "the fanatically twisted fringes of American culture."

"Everyone knows that this country is being run by a criminal syndicate that has rigged elections, hidden its knowledge of the 9-11 attacks, lied the country into war, plotted to out an important CIA undercover operative and then obstruct a criminal investigation into that treasonous act, subverted most of the articles of the Bill of Rights, emasculated the Congress and the Courts (which it has also shamelessly packed with shameless hacks), betrayed veterans, surrendered a major American metropolis to the devastation of a hurricane, plotted to enable the declaring of martial law, tortured kidnapped and killed people in violation of international law and obstructed efforts to deal with the unprecedented crisis of global warming for an unconscionable seven years." --Dave Lindorff, award-winning journalist, former New York Times contributor, graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, two-time Journalism Fulbright Scholar, and co-author, with Barbara Olshansky, of the book The Case for Impeachment.

I hereby secede from the Fascist States of America.

Earlier today I sent:

Subject: A Small Sign of Democracy Alive in NV!!!

I'm so shocked, I could almost cry! Now we'll see if they allow him to speak.

best wishes,

Too bad even though Kucinich isn't my prefered choice I would have liked him to be allowed to participate.

Well gang here we are again all dressed up for a presidential election and no one to vote for. Here is the ironic pitchfork sticking the election process in the heart we have taken the phrase "treading new waters" to a new low.

We could be for the first time electing a woman into the White House or for the first time electing a Black Man but no! The Democratic Party will concur nothing but proving that the demarcates are so socially burdened by social issues that they can"t see the true problems ahead of this nation and what truly lies ahead.

As a nation are we ready for China, South America, the fallout from the coming failures of outsourcing to third world countries. Her we are a nation, considered to be the strongest and richest nation in the world, we have terminal cancer eating away at our homeland financial base. Mortgage companies have reduced working middle class to economic ruble. The fallout of the mortgage company greed will take us so far back economically that the offspring of the baby boomer generation and there offspring will suffer tremendously. As a republican watching the Democratic Party self destruct over treading new waters I"m disappointed that we will not be challenged in this upcoming election. The bar that both parties need to achieve is the highest it has ever been. Both the Demarcates and Republicans need to look at the true issues facing this nation in the coming years and offer up presidential contenders that are true world leaders, dominate leaders with a powerful stance that the rest of the world can respect.
