Blacks learning
Hillary Was AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Feel Deceived !

A March 12, 2007 article written by acclaimed Washington columnist Robert Novak sheds a very revealing light on the true sentiment of Hillary Clinton during the peak of the Civil Rights Movement.

In an attempt to attract black support Hillary Clinton regularly shares her 'civil rights experience' during every speech given to blacks audiences. Novak writes of one such speech at Selma's First Baptist Church on the 42nd anniversary of the "bloody Sunday" freedom march there, where Sen. Clinton declared: "As a young woman, I had the great privilege of hearing Dr. King speak in Chicago. The year was 1963. My youth minister from our church took a few of us down on a cold January night to hear [King]. . . . And he called on us, he challenged us that evening to stay awake during the great revolution that the civil rights pioneers were waging on behalf of a more perfect union." But Novak's article states that there's a big problem with her statement.

The fact is, in 1963, the same period of time she speeks of at all black church appearances, not only was Hillary Clinton a republican, but she was also a staunch supporter of republican Senator Barry Goldwater, well known as a segregationist and adamently against the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which is why he lost in his presidential bid to Lyndon B. Johnson. Novak writes "...how then could she be a 'Goldwater Girl' in the next year's presidential election?" He continues, "...she described herself in her memoirs as 'an active Young Republican' and 'a Goldwater girl, right down to my cowgirl outfit.' (Hillary worked on Goldwater's presidential campaign)

Novak adds, "As a politically attuned honor student, she must have known that Goldwater was one of only six Republican senators who joined Southern Democratic segregationists opposing the historic voting rights act of 1964 inspired by King. Hillary later headed Young Republicans in college.

I wonder what Rangel can be bought for? Is he a cheap whore or a high-priced hooker. Inquiring minds.....

Hillary lost my vote on this one. It is only one vote but it took her smear campaign to do it. The tactic of attacking via surrogate; then apologizing is NO LONGER acceptable. If swift-boating Obama is the only option for Hillary, then she does not deserve the nomination. The country can ill-afford a continuation of the Carl Rove/ Bush tactic of disgracing opponents. I, for one, stand for a better tone; and that better tone is a major factor in my decision as for whom I vote.

Obviously you work for the Clinton campaign or your a huge supporter, but your comments are full of racial overtones while at the same time you attack Obama for supposedly playing the race card.

In your own words:

"It's as though he's not accountable. Like he's the "little kid" in the group. He's the kid brother everyone excuses"

Did you just get teleported here from the Jim Crow South?

Bigots love calling black men "boys" "little kid" or any other name that takes away from their manhood.

All of this is Code word racism, that is designed solely to remind white people over and over and over that BObama is "actually Black".
While I watch all these democrats try to reverse course now, I see that the cat has been let out of the bag. You clinton people are in for a serious surprise. African Americans are going to remember this betrayal, please believe we are talking.

What is very interesting to me is that Obama's campaign was caught red-handed flaming the race war. He was so caught that he had to apologize for it in the debate.

Yet, I see a lot of people denying the obvious.

It's as though he's not accountable. Like he's the "little kid" in the group.

He's the kid brother everyone excuses.

Obviously, Hillary is being approached by the media and a lot of people as the true grown-up in this race.

So lets see if I understand this correctly. Hillary made a bad judgement with some unfortunate choice of words. People got upset and felt that she downplayed the role of MLK. She then cried foul and blamed Obama when he said nothing to attack her. She almost wanted Obama to save her from her unfortunate choice of words. When Obama didn't, she attributed all the criticisms to Obama. Then she got some "black" friends to come and call Obama names and develop a straw-person attack strategy.

When Obama insisted to rise above all the bullshit, and call a truce even though he personally never said one disparaging remark about Hillary, she told her "black" friends to back off. "Black" friend then apologizes and all of a sudden see the value of a diverse choice of candidates in his own party.

The stench of this gets stinkier by the minute. I wish the Hillary campaign would focus on issues instead of attacking Obama.

I feel sorry for the Clintons. This blantant race baiting by the Clintons themselves as well as their campaign, advisors, and supporters---such as the infamous media whore Bob Johnson---is beyond offensive and pathetic. I hope that the black community brings about a reckoning if she is successful in her electronic vote tampering and injection of racial division to steal the democratic nomination. I say it here and I will say it everywhere there is a black pair of ears to hear me. If she gets the nomination in such an unscrupulous and Bushian manner, blacks should vote with all the might and power of their constituency for either Huckabee or Bloomberg. If they can't hold their noses long enough to vote republican, then stay at home on election day in November and don't vote for Hillary at all. MLK and supporters eventually took a stand and stopped riding the bus when forced to sit in the back and black people should not stay on the racist, electronic vote tampering Hillary train in the general election. The Clintons are expecting that no matter what racist, divisive tactics they use against Obama, blacks will have no other choice but to vote democrat; however, there is another choice and it is to not vote for Hillary or at all in a general election. Now is the current generation's time to make a stand against this kind of racism and oppression that the Clintons are harkening us back to. Make a stand against supporting her ilk in November if she steals her way to the nomination with the most deplorable racial tactics.

As an A-A woman in Charlie boy's constituency, please be assured that I will be in his office to talk to his Chief of Staff about his astounding political stupidity. Between the 'gentrifiers' and black people, this area is a hotbed of Obama support. He should kiss his Congressional seat good-bye right now. Asshole.

And in case you were wondering, I'll be voting Republican or Independent if Hillary gets the nomination. She's GWB in a pantsuit. I'm not in love with Obama, but, if he can inspire us out of this potentially fatal national rut, he's the man for the job.

Is Hillary Clinton breaking her pledge not to campaign in Florida?

In fact, the Clinton campaign inquired Tuesday if the Miami Beach Convention Center will be available for a ''rally'' on Jan. 27, two days before the state holds its earliest primary in history. City officials said there's no agreement yet because they are checking whether the massive hall is available.

Let's face it Obama's campaign raised the race issue to polarize Blacks in S. Carolina so he could have an easy win - after losing NH. The media for it's own reasons ran with it and it wasn't flattering to Obama - it back fired. African Americans are not stupid.

The Clintons spoke at Coretta King's funeral and played a prominent role - everyone loved them especially after Bush II stood up to speak. There is no credibility to calling them racists and everyone could see it. It's another one of those wink-wink set up by MSM.

Obama is a late comer to African American issues. Most Blacks know this and see through the facade, even though they secretly would love to have an African American President - and who can blame them. But Whites were also seeing through the facade of Obama crying wolf so the issue was hurting him more than Clinton. Playing the race card for Obama just back fired and he lost support and this wasn't a good campaign stragedy for him. Mostly because he had to make up a complete fib about the Clintons to pull it off and no one believed him. Instead MSM focused on his drug use and thus made him look more unsuitable for President than before his camp attacked the Clintons.

However this whole debate forced MSM to put on African American leaders to get their point of view and so it has caused Americans to pay attention and maybe some good came from it - hard to say.

Let's look at the Clinton legacy in the black community. First of all, Hillary herself has no legacy or record in the black community.Zilch.Zip. Nada. The record is Bill's and hee are a few highlights:

-Bill Clinton did not have a civil rights bill in his state.
-100,000 more black men went to prison under Bill Clinton than under Ronald Regan.
-BC passed that 1997 crime bill that expanded the death penalty.
-When he ran for president in ’92, he did his Sister Souljah bit when he executed Ricky Ray Rector, a brain-damaged black kid.

Bill Clinton is no soul brother, much less the first "black president".

Disgusted.

Rangel should know better. He's a seasoned politician. Adding more invective to the public airwaves is so beneath him, I can't even believe it.

Nora O'Donnell is another story. Obviously the press is going to drag this idiotic episode out as long as it can. No surprise, but still disgusting.

Totally disgusting.

Which Rangel lie should be believed?

the issue.

Rangel is right to call Obama stupid and dumb. Obama should have stated the facts: Hillary was not being racist and LBJ was instrumental to the success of the Civil Rights Movement. As Rangel stated, King could not enact legislation.

Every successful movement in America and elsewhere required a courageous and determined political leader.

Most important, Dr. Fauntroy and his Uncle, Rev. Walter Fauntroy who worked closely with King, agree with Hillary's statement. We are talking about an academician who has studied the issue and a civil rights leader who was there, working with King.

Obama manipulated this issue for his benefit when he compiled and sent truncated quotes of supposedly racist comments made by Clinton.

It was stupid to let the race issue fester. He should have condemned it immediately and stated that there is validity to Hillary’s statement. It is stupid not to do so.

He will lose voters. White America does not want to spend four years being afraid to say something that might taken as racist. It is a fact.
