Huckabee: Amend Constitution To Be In 'God's Standards'

The United States Constitution never uses the word "God" or makes mention of any religion, drawing its sole authority from "We the People." However, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee thinks it's time to put an end to that.

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."

Our ancestors who actually built this country found the Constitution just fine. Huck is talking about sedition and subversion of the Constitution. The Dominionists are alive and well. They believe that we are a Christian Nation. The constitution is trumped by the supposed need for Christian values to be spread. So is the rule of law trumped by the supposed need for the word of Jesus to be the law. Sounds like Sharia law.

These same people believe in converting by the sword and enforcing their values and beliefs by any means necessary. They are well financed and armed in some instances.

Colonel William Gale who became the Reverend Gale founded some very interesting organizations. The right wing has been mobilizing these forces for many years.

The Dominionists have joined forces with the neocons and believe in the "Holy Land" including the entire Left Behind rapture scenario. The entire thesis dovetails with the "clash of civilizations" ideas advanced by Samuel Huntington and followed by George W. Bush. That's why he doesn't follow the constitution - he "answers to a higher father." The Supreme Court also has at least two followers of this doctrine.

In fact, you can exp-lain almost everything in the past seven years on this political agenda; and the past forty years, also.
