Huckabee: Amend Constitution To Be In 'God's Standards'

The United States Constitution never uses the word "God" or makes mention of any religion, drawing its sole authority from "We the People." However, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee thinks it's time to put an end to that.

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."

And it's utterly vile that his economic policies will stoke the public ire of right-wing pundits like George Will, but they won't say boo about this rancid idea.

Unfortunately, Huckabee's Holy Moly "principles" include hatred of gays, contempt for non-Christians and the divine endorsement of permanent imprisonment and torture. Remember, only God can justify atrocities and mass murder. Holy Huckabee is as dangerous as every other GOP candidate, with the exception of Ron Paul. Of course, when Rush Vomitbag is criticizing you, anybody can look good.

This highlights the problem with mixing religion with government.

For example, the Islamic Revolution in Iran rid them of the Shah but brought in the Ayatollah. The establishment of the State of Israel as a Jewish State has sown seeds of discontent with Arabs and Palestinians. How many European nations had Catholicism as their official religion. The Church of England fostered further friction in Northern Ireland.

Not since Roy Moore brought the Ten Commandments into the Alabama Supreme Court Building has such a bad idea been fostered. When Mr. Moore had the Ten Commandments in his chambers as a court of appeals judge, it came to light that he had wood-burned the writing onto a piece of wood. When he carted the granite engraving into the new Supreme Court Building upon having been elected as chief justice, the first 6,000 lb. monument broke causing him to go back an get another one made. This one he carted in during the cover of darkness. All by himself.

Huckabee is what America needs to understand the fallacy of combining religion and government. Let's have that fight. The other members threw Roy Moore off the court. Let's send a message to all who attempt to force their religion down our throats by the sword or by any means. Such people are nut cases by definition. History has proved that fact.

WTF! How Taliban-esque. What Huckabee has suggested is every bit as a offensive as the idea of Sharia law being imposed on the US. Yet, if he gets the nomination, he just might win the presidency because there seem to be enough voters in this country who'll think that's a good idea and have no concept of the horrors it will bring. They'll assume it'll just be bad for the "heathens." Little do they realize that today's "fellow Christian" is tomorrow's "heretic" worthy of persecution or death because his or her beliefs aren't "correct" about some doctrine or other. Good grief!

Many good Democrats are deeply committed Christians, who either go to church every Sunday, or grew up doing that, and may have slacked off but haven't ceased to be Members of the Faith. Some of these Democrats will even be supporting Huckabee, thinking "Heck why not? He's kind and good, he's not even all that conservative in some ways, and wouldn't the world be a great place if only we all obeyed the Golden Rule and Ten Commandments?" Every one of you who might be thinking this way about Huckabee needs to put some time aside, get in there, and read up on ERIK PRINCE. And then be ready to sleep with your closet light ON.
