Michigan voters headed to the polls Tuesday in a presidential primary that could prove pivotal for the leading Republican candidates, but has generated less interest on the Democratic side with Hillary Rodham Clinton the only top tier candidate on the ballot.

About 20 percent of eligible voters were expected to turn out across the state, where freezing temperature prevailed and snow was forecast.

Read how today's primary will hurt or help Romney's presidential aspirations.

"Romney's Last Stand"?

He's leading in delegates. Why would he be done if he didn't win?

These so called "experts" are always wrong. Why should we believe them now?

I like Kos quite a bit, but this idea of keeping Ronmey in the race seems wrong-headed at the very least.

Why not place a vote for Kucinich? Seems a much better investment to wasting the vote on an empty suit.

War-booster McCain is facing more trouble in his home state. No, not anti-immigration zealots, just more challengers than in any other Primary! Confusion certain to rule at the Arizona voting booth.

If you think the national leading candidates were hitting rock bottom, Arizona has just set the bar lower, much lower. Unbeknown to cable news pundits spinning themselves silly around polls, Arizona's Primary is destined to make history. A grouping of dark-horse candidacies has doubled the choices for our nation's highest elected office. Historic with four women on the ballot. Project White House 08, a microcosm of the national race, offers as much passion and absurdity as any of the front-running campaigns.

Tire of back-biting politics? Mud-sligning and name-calling? That's too bad!

Flip those national campaigns the proverbial finger and join the brave candidates of the Arizona Primary in their bold experiment in politics.

I wrote a piece on why this is faulty conventional wisdom, but I think Romney beleives the CW.

Compressed timeframe. Advertising dollars. The nature of advertising. The lack of money had by cheif competitors Huckabee and McCain. And most importantly the delegate count after tonight. There is a path for success for Romney if he finishes second tonight, but he must hand his post primary speech right and he has to start advertising again.

One of my guiding principles is that the libs love to make the meaningless, meaningful & the meaningful, meaningless.

Never see a better example than today in MI.

Here, we have the libs castigating Romney & predicting his demise, in a state in which more Dems & independents will be voting for McCain than will Republicans.

Why?

Well, the Rainbown Party of openess & inclusion, of warm-heartedness & open-mindedness, can't even manage to hold a meaningful Primary.

What is MI, the 10th(?) largest state in the Union? And the Dems cannot hold a legitimate primary?

Guaranteed, if the Republicans "disenfranchised" as many voters as the Dems did today, Leaky & his fellow band of idiots would be holding (another) an investigation; such would be a MAJOR story on the MSM.

WOW! What a damn joke!

"Mitt Romney, who is a Mormon, is reeling from reports that his great-grandfather had fives wives and at least one of his great-great-grandfathers had twelve. That poor bastard had to register at Crate and Barrel 12 times. And that's back when all they sold were crates and barrels. ... The word 'polygamy', of course, comes from the Greek 'poly' meaning multiple and 'gamy' meaning reasons not to vote for Mitt Romney." --Stephen Colbert

Republicans prattle on about the politics of envy - we hate people who are better looking than us or have more money than us or something. Why don't I hate Paul McCarney just to pick someone at random. He was a freaking God when I was younger and he could probably buy Romneys ass. I've envied Muhammed Ali, Bob Dylan and Ernest Hemmingway, but I could give a flaming fornication about the likes of Slick Mitt.
