I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Maher Hecklers

Just a week after making the boldest talk show appearance ever (third video down), Bill Maher found himself in another awkward position: this time at "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."

While asking about Maher's opinion on the current crop of presidential contenders, Leno was interrupted Tuesday night by a Dennis Kucinich supporter, who yelled, "Let Dennis debate! Stop censorship! Help save democracy!" (Dennis was shut out from MSNBC's debate last night in Las Vegas).

Then, after a commercial break, Maher was interrupted by a separate audience member, shouting a more ambiguous message: "GE, NBC, Put Impeachment on TV!". Too bad he didn't handle the nuisance like he did on his own show.

Check out the clip from "The Tonight Show" below:

From NBC 1/15/08.

If Guiliani is still considered a viable candidate - why isn't Kucinich?

Kucinich met the criteria to be included, tell us why they moved the goalposts back - besides "because we can"

Since when is fewer choices better then more?

Maher & Leno remind me of a couple of guys sitting in a hot tub, squeezing eachothers dicks. It really says something's wrong with this country when the average person has to yell out in the oddest of places in order to get heard by the media or their government.

What debate?

What NBC?

What Maher or Leno? Who are they anyway?

Not on my radar screen. . .

It's really is a damn shame to see Bill Maher sitting in the chair next to that NBC Whore.
This capitalist society that supposedly made us so great has been tearing down the Constitution with the help of the Republicans for years.

NBC is just General Electric's pimp who will always sell its patriotism to the highest bidder. There's little whores like Jay Jay will also compromise their principles for a buck. I'm very disappointed in Bill but what you expect? He has his right to his own opinion I just hope it is his own opinion.
He should've stepped up to the plate and asked the Jaw why he thought NBC excluded a qualified presidential candidate from the debates.

I recently canceled HBO and after the exclusion of Dennis Kucinich from the debates reaffirmed my boycott of NBC and douche bags like Mr. potato head Russert Mr. motormouth Matthews and Jay the Jaw!I support the writers and really don't give a $^!# about these scumbags who keep profiting off the sweat blood and tears of real working Americans.

it is called corp. fascism and it is alive and well in america.

and if you folks thank obama and hillary will change that think again.

they are part of the system those within the system cannot change the system.

takes someone outside the system.

good job ge you won again. in a dumbed down society easy to fool the dumb.

let the industrial military complex buy up media and this is what you get. will america wake up. no. but decades of fascism might finally put them into the streets to protest.

but dont count on it the industrial military and media complex has a hold on americans.

most dont even challenge the 700 bil military budget. we are imperialists and most war mongers.

shame on Bill Maher for turning into the piss-proud and privileged corporate pundit while pretending everyone else is too stupid to have an opinion and only polite dissension is allowed on network TV.
Speed the collapse!

A nice bit of civil disobedience by the hecklers. Taking it to the man. The natives are getting restless. Soon, to the barricades.

Do you wonder why there are no references to John Edwards in all of this? Its because of "out of sight--out of mind." Because Edwards is corporate America's worst nightmare, Edwards is being subject to a near total blackout of his presence in the campaign. Subsequent to the Las Vegas debate, he is unheard about in the MSM, and in HuffPost.

SLEEPERS AWAKE!!!

i'm undecided. ill probably go for clinton or obama, and i'm pretty liberal, but i don't buy this ge conspiracy about the debate. the reason he wasnt allowed on was because its a 3 person race and i think that the large majority of people would rather just see clinton obama and edwards go at it. sorry dennis.

That was all very helpful to Kucinich. Now even more people think he is a nut case.

By censoring Kucinich NBC gives Kucinich supporters NO ALTERNATIVE but to scream. What are they expected to do, watch their candidates mouth gagged, his First Amendment Rights trashed, and then sit quietly like zombies and watch Leno ignore Impeachment and tell stupid jokes about Las Vegas? If more Jews had screamed about Hitler in 1936 perhaps World War ll never would have happened. Who wrote this story, Joseph Goebbels? Notice this story ends with the sentence " too bad he didn't handle the nuisance like he did on his own show", meaning throw the hecklers out. The " nusiance " is NBC trashing Kucinich's 1st Ammendment Rights, not someone screaming to demand justice about it.

I see the Kucinich Followers have taken a page from the Paulunatics...class. Maher has had both Kucinich and Paul on his show and allowed them to air their views, he just has the audacity to think for himself. He is also pissed at the pig-headedness of the WGA Union leadership (as many writers are btw)in their witch-hunts of those who dare speak their mind. I won't peretend to be a Leno fan and lord knows I like to stir the pot, but that's just stupid, like the 9/11 conspiracy nutcases interfering with Mahers show. Just sad souls needing attention...kinda like all of us ;)

What a disappointment in both of them. For one thing, the guy did make a very good point that could have been addressed. Instead they both used the chance to make the guy sound "bat shit crazy" Bill Maher should be ashamed of himself for getting a joke out of a very brave protester. NBC should be ashamed of themselves.

You can tell what Maher's all about by the company he keeps, not just people of opposing views but wackos like Anne Coulter. Why he has the forum that he has befuddles me big time. There are lots of people that are occasionally funny, like Leno, but they can never achieve the charisma of someone like Johnny. They are products of the corporations, like G.E., that run the networks. Dare I say, the Britney of show hosts? I dare.
