The radio ad aired by one of Obama's labor allies re-injects ethnicity into the Democratic primary contest in sharp terms.

"Hillary Clinton does not respect our people," the ad says in Spanish (original and Clinton campaign translation after the jump), referring to the lawsuit that failed today to shut down special caucus sites on Las Vegas' strip. "Hillary Clinton is shameless."

"Sen. Obama is defending our right to vote. Sen. Obama wants our votes. He respects our votes, our community, and our people. Sen. Obama's campaign slogan is 'Si Se Puede.' Vote for a president who respects us, and who respects our right to vote," the ad says, according to a transcript provided by the Clinton campaign and confirmed in part by a union official.

Should Hillary Apologize To Blacks ?????
Blacks Learning 'Goldwater Girl' Hillary Was AGAINST
the Civil Rights Act of 1964....Feel Deceived !

An article by Washington columnist Robert Novak (Google: 'Hillary, King, Goldwater) reveals that Hillary Clinton was a staunch supporter of Sen. Barry Goldwater (who was adamently against the civil rights act and a segregationist) during the same period she claims in all black church appearances that she was for the civil rights movement. Blacks feel that it was impossible for Hillary to have been a Goldwater Girl and pro civil rights at the same time which leads to the assumption that Ms. Clinton is re-inventing her past. Many blacks feel deceived by The Clintons. Should Hillary Clinton make a public apology to blacks ?

parts of the ad are over the top -- not all - but parts

So Obama Campaign should do what the Clinton campaign always does -- let the ad run a day or so and do the damage -- and then distance itself and the caucus will be over

Maybe the union is legitimately unhappy that the Clinton backed lawsuit tried to change the rules at the 11th hour?

If we are scoring over the top campaigns this would make it

CLINTON: 100
OBAMA: 1

Margret Carlson has a good (sad) article on Bloomberg News that is Obama loses the nomination - he can look back at the first two weeks of 2008 - when the Clinton's introduced Race as the main dialogue --

He should have had surrogates fire back the day after Bill Shaheen --

So much for Obama's "clean" campaign tactics. What a joke. Now we are hearing about the Culinary Workers Union leaders intimidating its members to caucus for Obama. Sad.

More playing the race card by the Obama campaign. How shameless. If Obama doesn't comdem this swiftboating than essentially he's defending it. Obama is going to lose the hispanic vote, in Nevada and after in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and other states. He's desperate, but this will backfire.

Blacks learning
Hillary Was AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Feel Deceived !

A March 12, 2007 article written by acclaimed Washington columnist Robert Novak sheds a very revealing light on the true sentiment of Hillary Clinton during the peak of the Civil Rights Movement.
In an attempt to attract black support Hillary Clinton regularly shares her 'civil rights experience' during every speech given to blacks audiences. Novak writes of one such speech at Selma's First Baptist Church on the 42nd anniversary of the "bloody Sunday" freedom march there, where Sen. Clinton declared: "As a young woman, I had the great privilege of hearing Dr. King speak in Chicago. The year was 1963. My youth minister from our church took a few of us down on a cold January night to hear [King]. . . . And he called on us, he challenged us that evening to stay awake during the great revolution that the civil rights pioneers were waging on behalf of a more perfect union." But Novak's article states that there's a big problem with her statement.

The fact is, in 1963, the same period of time she speeks of at all black church appearances, not only was Hillary Clinton a republican, but she was also a staunch supporter of republican Senator Barry Goldwater, well known as a segregationist and adamently against the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which is why he lost in his presidential bid to Lyndon B. Johnson. Novak writes "...how then could she be a 'Goldwater Girl' in the next year's presidential election?" He continues, "...she described herself in her memoirs as 'an active Young Republican' and 'a Goldwater girl, right down to my cowgirl outfit.' (Hillary worked on Goldwater's presidential campaign)
Novak adds, "As a politically attuned honor student, she must have known that Goldwater was one of only six Republican senators who joined Southern Democratic segregationists opposing the historic voting rights act of 1964 inspired by King. Hillary later headed Young Republicans in college.

The Clintons really believe they can BS there way back into the White House...

They also said the Clinton campaign had no involvement in the lawsuit, which was filed by Clinton supporters and defended by Bill Clinton.

The plaintiffs were the Nevada State Education Association, its president, Lynn Warne, and five others. Debbie Cahill, the deputy executive director of the teachers' union, is a Clinton supporter and a member of the campaign's Nevada Women's Leadership Council.

Two senior partners of the law firm handling the suit, Kummer, Kaempfer, Bonner, Renshaw and Ferrario, have donated to Clinton in the past. Also, Clinton ally and former Rep. Jim Bilbray is an attorney at the firm.

The state Democratic Party unanimously approved the caucus rules last March, and the Democratic National Committee signed on in August. Four of the six plaintiffs are members of the committee that approved the rules.

The Billary campaign decided to push for the lawsuit AFTER the Culinary Workes decided to support Sen Obama....

Hey, makes me wonder whatever happened to the little Cuban boy Elián González from 2000 ...

Perhap in 2008 there can be a Mexican version of the "Elián" world crisis. Good Grief.

The ad is all true.

Billary supported the lawsuit. Bill said so and Hill said nothing; implied support.

Disenfranchising, just b/c you didn't get the endorsement, is EVIL!

It just goes to show you how stupid this Culinary Union is. Obama is quoting Reagan and he busted the unions. He was one of the WORST Presidents in our history. Wake up Union members, Obama or Hillary aren't the answer. Did anyone ever listen to what Edwards has to say ? If not, you better start listening.

It's interesting to see that the Obama camp is up to more race-baiting. Now they're trying to turn Latinos against Hillary with this slanderous ad.

Obamaniacs sure can use Bush Spin like experts!

Meanwhile, John Edwards weighs in...

Sen. John Edwards, Clinton's and Obama's Democratic rival, weighed in Thursday evening, chastising both camps for their combative tenor. Polls show Obama, Clinton and Edwards in a close race in the state, a key political station on the way to the Jan. 26 primary in South Carolina.

"This looks like the same old nasty divisive politics that both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton denounced just two days ago," Edwards said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press.

The anti-Clinton ad was paid for by Unite Here, the labor group affiliated with the Culinary Workers Union, which backs Obama. He has, however, been critical of outside groups that have supported Clinton and Edwards and those campaigns promptly accused him of hypocrisy.

"Now we'll see if he meets his own standard, whether he meant what he said or whether it was just something that was politically advantageous to him," Edwards said in the interview.

Well, well, well! Maybe our friend Obama is the closet rascist. Why wouldn't he condemn this sort of statement? Because he'll go after votes anyway he can get them. Shame on him.
