Romney and an AP reporter had words over the candidate's statement that lobbyists aren't running his campaign at an event in Columbia, S.C. The reporter interupted to point out that Ron Kaufman, a senior advisor, is a lobbyist.

Mitt Romney made ( and is making ) tens of millions of $$$$s by greasing the skids for foreign investors in off-shore dummy companies, and buying and selling scores of companies and then stripping them of all assets and throwing thousands out of work.
And there he is in Michigan saying he will fight for every job.
And this is almost NEVER discussed, though it's far more significant than bickering over how important some guy's role is in his "campaign.

I thought that Romney was very polite and the AP reporter was a jerk. The reporters job is to report not inject his views in the middle of a candidates speech.

This reporter has followed Romney's campaign from the beginning and he knows when Romney's lying, which as we can tell, is most of the time. He's no fly-by-nighter. Romney is a snake.
He's gutsy because Romney tries to say that he has no ties to lobbyists, which is utter bullshit. He probably walked up and down K Street in a low cut blouse trying to get someone's attention.
Romney is tied to Washington. He's not some outside insurgent. He's made every effort to get his Mitts into the inner circle and the fact that he's been caught stretching the truth is funny and sad.

On planet Romney, being caught telling the public a straight out lie, or stretching the truth more than Stretch Armstrong (that's a good nickname for him) is good behavior. Questioning a person about their lies or stretches is rude.
I'm GLAD he was argumentative with the candidate. If a Presidential Candidate is going to spout some Busllshit, I WANT reporters and journalists to take them to task on it.

I can't believe Romney's press secretary told him not to "get argumentative" with the "candidate" -- they really just want them to roll over and play dead, don't they? They expect a free pass into the most important job in the country - probably because Bush got one.
Don't ask the candidate any questions he might not want to answer now . . . .
