Romney and an AP reporter had words over the candidate's statement that lobbyists aren't running his campaign at an event in Columbia, S.C. The reporter interupted to point out that Ron Kaufman, a senior advisor, is a lobbyist.

Good for that AP reporter. (based on the bit we saw)

How can Willard say no lobbyists run his campaign, when he admittedly has lobbyist friends who strategize with him? He's playing a bullshit semantic game there. Who cares who holds the title "campaign manager" if you have lobbyists (or a lobbyist) around all -or most- of the time.

All that means is that you aren't stupid enough to place a title on that lobbyist.
Then you can say, "No senior staff members on my campaign are lobbyists."

Sounds like Willard knows perfectly how Washington runs... defying his argument that he's a DC outsider.

How embarrassing for that "reporter". He sounded like a whiny little baby who was about to cry. Sitting there on his butt like some high school kid. He still could've asked the same tough questions -- but like an adult would have. Grow up and act like a professional reporter.

pointing out facts and falsehoods IS THE PROFESSION OF JOURNALISM. I would have told that guy with the bad haircut "I'm not your child, and i don't work for you. F-off."

Anyone can see that Romney does not have a clue.
He is and was part of the Washington Crowd that passed laws to rid the USA of jobs, squeeze the middle class and now he wants to promise what he should have done all along. And people believed that stuff - talk about shooting yourself in the foot, you deserve it.

I'd almost like to see Willard get elected just to watch him bring those autoworker jobs back to Michigan. The guy will say absolutely anything.

Glen Johnson is my hero. It's about time a few reporters started challenging these candidates on their total falsehoods.

"Don't be argumentative with the candidate"
How in the hell are we going to get to the truth without arguing? What a load of crap. Crawl into the corner you freak.

Romney: I do not have a lobbyist atop my campaign.

AP Reporter: Yes you do, Ron Kaufman, a senior advisor, is a lobbyist.

Romney: No, he is a dear frind and advisor but not on my campaign.

AP Reporter: Yes you do.

Romney: No, he is around my campaign. He is in my campaign not above it.

AP Reporter: So you have a lobbyist in your campaign?

Romney: This press conference is over....where are my flip flops?

Act professionally while the candidate feeds you lies. If you can't act professionally, you may miss out on the candidate's future photo-ops with his staffer's mother!

Someone help me PLEASE! What automatonic cartoon character does Mitt remind you of? I keep thinking it's Max headroom, but I think there's another one more spot-on.

I'm looking forward to his book of wisdom, which will or course be called "Mitt Wit." (ringandaboom. Try the veal. Tip your waitresses. You're a great crowd!)
