Obama Slams Bill Clinton In Gma Interview

Sen. Barack Obama says he's ready to confront former President Bill Clinton, calling his advocacy on behalf of his wife's presidential campaign, "troubling."

In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts to air Monday on "Good Morning America," Obama, D-Ill., directly engages Bill Clinton on a series of issues.

"You know the former president, who I think all of us have a lot of regard for, has taken his advocacy on behalf of his wife to a level that I think is pretty troubling," Obama said. "He continues to make statements that are not supported by the facts -- whether it's about my record of opposition to the war in Iraq or our approach to organizing in Las Vegas. This has become a habit, and one of the things that we're gonna have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he's making statements that are not factually accurate."

Let's ask Erica Jong and Gloria Steinem why the woman running for the Presidency of the US has to rely on her man to get her there. Is that the idea promulgated in magazine's like Ms? Hmmm. Here comes the new woman's role. It looks just like the old woman's role: Lookin for the strong man to protect her.

Bill Clinton has been at this for too long. He is a masterful liar and has been going at it unchallenged. "I did not have sexual relationship with that woman". I don't believe a word Bill Clinton is saying. Can Hillary stand on her own two legs or she needs an infidel to do her dirty work? Time to take down the slime machine and clean up our politics. It's about time.

Go Obama! Time to clean house, damn it!

ElectoPundit: Back and Forth Could Help Obama
http://electopundit.blogspot.com/2008/01/one-back-and-forth-dynamic-that-could.html

This campaign could be divided into three phases until now. There was the "Clinton frontrunner" phase up until just before Iowa, and then after Iowa the 2nd phase was the very short "Obama Frontrunner" phase. After New Hampshire it was perhaps a "dead heat, no frontrunner" phase that I think may now be ending. If we're back into a "Clinton frontrunner" phase again... what does that mean for the campaign? Will Hillary and Bill wither under the spotlight?

Look at the behavior of the voters so far:

Everyone said if Hillary won Iowa, it was over, they voted for Obama.

Everyone said if Obama won New Hampshire, it was over, they voted for Clinton.

The Clintons and the media tried to say Obama should win Nevada because the culinary union was pressuring members, the members felt the pressure and they resisted, they voted for Clinton.

So where is that conventional wisdom/media dialogue going decisively after Nevada? I think the current line is: "the Clintons are inevitable, Obama may win in South Carolina, but that's just the African-American vote, she's going to win big on February 5th." There's going to be two and a half weeks of this dialogue again in the press for the first time since before Iowa. If Obama had won Nevada and South Carolina, the "dead heat" phase would have continued. But Nevada shifts that, and I think this has significant potential to swing the race back in Obama's favor.

One thing is clear, the focus for the next two weeks will be on Hillary Clinton, what type of presidency she would have, what Bill's role would be, their marital issues, etc. February 5th will now fundamentally be a referendum on her and it could be a decision too big for either candidate to come back from as they have had the ability to do so far in this campaign.

Right On!!!

Bill has been lying about Obama and it is getting to be Karl Rove Redux.

All that's missing is Bill waging his finger to the American people and directly lying to our faces.

Obama is right. Clinton is saying stuff that just isn't factual.

At some stage we have to ask ourselves: Have we been here before? Do we all have a better choice?

I think so. Our better choice is Obama. It is time. Time to move on.

I just watched Soledad O'Brien's special on MLK where, at the end, she was talking to Andrew Young and he was in tears, and Soledad was in tears, and, I'm surprised to say, I was in tears too. When I hear Andy Young talking about how we should vote for Hilary, I can only react with the cyber expletive W T F???

The republicans are in a very weak position. Not only are they out of ideas - even Newt Gingrich says they are out of ideas - but they don't even have a presnality to carry the flag.

Republicans are toast. If Obama is nominated he will be president. Take it to the bank. We must nominate Obama.

I find it rather disturbing that a women running for the highest office in our country “needs her husband” to fight her campaign battles!

Not only have the CLINTONS exhibited bad behavior, they are serious COPY CATS. First OBAMA came out with his theme for CHANGE........then she claimed she was the CANDIDATE for change. OBAMA created the YES WE CAN phrase at his rallies and now she does it. OBAMA was easily accessible to regular folk to speak with as he shook hands and talked with citizens when HILLARY was stand offish - and now she and her husband are doing it. SHE attacked him first using the unfactual description of MARTIN LUTHER KING not being able to implement the civil rights act without a president.........then she claimed she was MARTIN's DREAM. Her husband's running around acting like a madman......on tv. They are mean spirited and vicious.

Do Hillary supporters REALLY think we're all gonna just rally around Hill IF she gets the nomination? It really is something you should start thinking about.

Geez, you'd think that maybe the "title" to this blog would be like "Barack Obama claims that the Republican Party is the Party of Ideas" ..or maybe "Obama praises Reagan" ..not Obama slams Clinton...I'm certainly glad that "fair & balanced" Huttington Post is setting the Standard in blogging excellence!!!

When Bill came into office the top 1% of the population got about as much income as the bottom half. At the end of his term the top 1% got 50% more than the bottom half. Bill wasn't good for the working class or for the poor on public aid. I can't stand to listen to him any more. I turn off Bill just like I turn off GWB.

For those who are curious about the lies and the truth, Obama has fact checked/debunked the issue:

Clinton spent 8 years making statements that were not factually accurate, and people are just now acting concerned.

Americans are slow to learn.

Remember when Clinton said "it was the hottest summer in America 1400 years", and a reported said "we've only been keeping weather records in America for less that 200 years..can you make your research available to the public?".

Simple question, right? Well, the reporter was quickly escorted out of the room (Bill was caught in one of his typical B.S. lies). It was a funny video played on the evening news for those of you who enjoyed it like me.

I also remember when he said he remembers "lynchings in Arkansas as a child". The problem is...lynchings in Arkansas stopped before he was born. Quite a trick, huh?

Wake up, people. Clinton lies, he bites his bottom lip, apologizes, and we fall in love with him all over again.

I have a great idea for all the media and journalist around America. Until late September or October of this year if you just have to have a piece from the campaign trail, just type or say
"BullShit" , then continue on with real news.

I am so tired or hearing the same crap over and over again. Its like a bunch of babies in the school yard.
He Did it
She Did it
He's this
She's that
Their lying
I did not
Im better than they are
You are not , Im better than they are
BLAH BLAH BLAH
24 hours a day on CNN,FAUX, MSNBC and more. Every paper, radio station, television and cable station, every so called 'news' website and Blog. Enough is Enough.
Lies upon lies and those are stacked on top of whines and cries. PLEASE!!!! STOP REPORTING ON THIS AND REPORT THE NEWS FOR A WHILE!!

We all know the candidates will lie , deceive and cheat to reach their goal of becoming President. And each one has their own motives for doing it, though many are probably being being positioned for the job as they are perfect puppet material, but its all lies 24/7. If you would stop reporting it, maybe they would at least slow up on the lies. Sure someone else might report it, who cares.
