Obama Slams Bill Clinton In Gma Interview

Sen. Barack Obama says he's ready to confront former President Bill Clinton, calling his advocacy on behalf of his wife's presidential campaign, "troubling."

In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts to air Monday on "Good Morning America," Obama, D-Ill., directly engages Bill Clinton on a series of issues.

"You know the former president, who I think all of us have a lot of regard for, has taken his advocacy on behalf of his wife to a level that I think is pretty troubling," Obama said. "He continues to make statements that are not supported by the facts -- whether it's about my record of opposition to the war in Iraq or our approach to organizing in Las Vegas. This has become a habit, and one of the things that we're gonna have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he's making statements that are not factually accurate."

Its truly awful to watch a nation tank! However, we get what we deserve, and if the people really wanted to have fair elections, they'd have fair elections, by being informed, and on top of their education, and not blinded by their religion or hates! The powers at hand would like nothing better than to have US all running around with machetes, so that they could declare Marshall law, and open up those long closed Japanese Internment camps! For the good of the nation of course!!

Clinton left office with a 65% approval rating, the highest end-of-presidency rating of any President that came into office after World War II.

For all those people that say he doesn't have a high favorability rating the above fact from Wikipedia combined with the fact that he has dedicated his after presidential life to good works don't you think if he doesn't have a good favorability rating now that would be the ignorance of the people instead of something against Bill Clinton? Any of you name what he has done wrong after he left the presidency! I mean besides hurting Obama's feelings!

Character, honesty, and integrity matter in the White House, and the Clintons Rove-like slime campaign against a fellow Democrat has demonstrated that when the chips are down, they simply have none.

The pathetically unprincipled, power-hungry Clintons are but a constant and keen reminder of why we need what Obama offers.......political life and government on a higher plane.

I don't want our first woman president to get into office via her husband's coattails. That just tarnishes the whole thing.

Go Barack. If Bill doesn't want to act like the elder dignified ex-president statesman that he should be - then you don't have to treat him as such. Give him a Chicago street ass kicking!

Bill is getting more press than Hillary lately, I don’t see how that is going to help Hillary in the long run - if were advising Obama I would have him go after Bill as well, the more it becomes about Bill, the less it becomes about Hillary, and that dynamic leaves her vulnerable to legitimate criticism around just which Clinton is actually running for office.

What's with the Obama signs I saw in SC
"Tell your mamma - Vote Obama"

Wow - what a winning strategy - NOT!

If you want 4 or 8 more years of Republican Facist rule -
nominate Obama.

Bill has done what scores of his detractors could not - lowered my opinion of him and his legacy. I never could have imagined I'd be anti-Clinton. Now I am, perhaps for good. And it occurs to me suddenly - one reason we got saddled with G.W. in D.C. was because Bill strayed away from Hillary (if you know what I mean). Now we should ALL stray away from them both. Sit down and shut up Bill.

Barack Obama is way to sensitive for me. I know it's unsual for a former president to be put in spot like this but he has the right to campaign for his wife. This is politics we're not singing kumbaya. This campaign is one of the most civil campaign i've seen in a while. I am afraid if Barack cant take this kind of campaign how can he run against the republicans in the fall. He should try to get one of his surogates like John Kerry to go after the president. If he tries to go after Clinton it will be R.I.P for him. Love Bill Clinton or hate him he's one of the greatest politician in our lifetime.

Huff: Your headlines are completely misleading, not just with this story, but most of them. Worse than the New York Post, which for you is so unnecessary.

What they should also be talking about is this. Why is it growing more obvious that the white power elite will never tolerate a person of color as President? They'll take a woman with NO legislative experience who's the darling of the MSM and her drug company/HMO/defense industry backers. Now why not Obama?

He's not "black" enough.
He's black. And we obviously can't have that.
His middle name is Hussein. Which means that he's a Muslim terrorist (because we all know that all Muslims are terrorists, right?) who wants to destroy America. And various other racial crap.

Now the positives. He's married and has two kids. He has actual legislative experience. (Sorry Hillary, but First Lady trips/seminars, etc. don't count). He's publically admitted that he did use drugs in the past. But no longer does. But despite all that, I predict that the neocon MSM will never allow Obama to become President. They destroyed Gravel and Kucinich. So how can you say that they won't? If Edwards loses in South Carolina, people are saying he's no longer "viable." What happens if it's Obama and Hillary up to the primary? When push comes to shove, will Obama no longer be "viable" because he's a person of color?

The racist crap is only going to get worse.
