With former President Bill Clinton standing not 20 feet in front of her, Atlanta mayor Shirley Franklin took what appeared to be a political shot at the former president's comments about Barack Obama's candidacy.

Speaking at the 40th annual MLK commemorative service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Franklin said the country is on the "cusp of turning the impossible into reality. Yes this is reality, not fantasy or fairy tales."

It's hard to imagine that a person who has risen to the position of a mayor of a city like Atlanta would join the bandwagon of those who have twisted Bill Clinton's "fairy tale" remark out of context to make cheap charges. What is wrong with us Black folks? By re-charging the so-called racial dynamic of the race, Mayor Franklin may soon realize to her eternal regret that she has hurt the candidate she endorsed more than she has helped him. Obama cannot win with Black votes alone.

Had not Slick Willie blown his second term as the most powerful man in the world and as our president of this country with arguments about him having sex with a GD intern at the White House. Now with said how can you how can you not be mad at the shit head who let you, your party and your country down.

How could you not be pissed at the person (Bill) who has caused this country to be destroyed and pillaged by the Repugs during the last ten years. It problem and issues belongs to Bill Clinton and he and he alone is responsible for that............ No more dynastys..............Go Obama or Edwards....

Bill wants to open his mouth then cry when someone challenges his spew. He and Hillary had their chance, now it's time for someone new. Change will not and did not happen under Hillary and Bill. Time to move on.

Not appropriate for Franklin to say that during the MLK service. She could have spoke with him one on one, not during a time when Martin Luther King, Jr. is being honored.
African Americans need to realize that if anyone says anything negative and or truthful regarding Barack and particular on issues such as the War in Iraq (what Bill Clinton was clearly speaking about) it is not because of his race. We can not scream racism everytime we don't like what we hear.
I understand the passionate support that the Black community is giving Barack, but we alone can not take him to the White House. If we bring up race at every opportunity and want to use racism every time it will completely turn off the other electorate who will have to vote for him in order for him to win.
Although I am supporting Hillary Clinton, I have been very proud of the way Barack has handled his campaign and NOT making race an issue. Not until after he lost the NH primary and start to lose momentum that he played along with the "race issue" to make the Clintons look bad. He has been quick to support Joseph Biden regarding his perceived racist comments, why didn't he do the same with the Clintons?

Yeah! There may be something in that, after all, Monica was impressed by him too!

How dare anybody take a cheap shot at Bill, they should apologize at once!

Bill then went on to say that they understand the AA community is torn because there is a vialbe AA candidate. Maybe I'm over sensitive, but I heard was,"OK you silly black folks, we understand get it out of your system. Give him South Carolina, but when that doesn't pan out in the end for you, You're welcome to come back to us

Uh, yes he did have a response. Can you not read?

But, it does say something that Mayor Franklin would use MLK's day for political reasons and it does say something about Obamaniacs twisting the context of the fairy tale term and running with it with their version...and it does say something about B. O. for not clearly explaining to his sheep that to use their twisted version out of context constitutes an UNTRUTH or as ObamaPOST calls it LYING.

This is why Bill Clinton is polarizing the Democratic Party. If the Dems lose the black vote they lose the general election. Simple as that.
