Dick Cheney Emails

Think Progress:

Last week, House Oversight Chairman Henry Waxman (D-CA) revealed that the White House failed to preserve emails for at least 473 separate days. Waxman's report said "Vice President Cheney's office showed no electronic messages on 16 occasions from September 2003 to May 2005." Among the sixteen days for which email are missing from Vice President Cheney's office "is Sept. 30, 2003, the same day the day the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced they were investigating who outed former CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson."

What I find funny is how many keep commenting on such trivial things as this. Don't people ever pay attention to anything? When Pelosi declared this administration above the law ("Impeachment is OFF THE TABLE."), what did they think that meant? Peace in Palestine perhaps?

can any one tell me why bill o'reilly and sean hannity have not had a screaming fit about this, or why they have not even reported it? it must be an over sight.

Easy explanation, they had to borrow the battery from his computer to keep "dark heart" beating.

Henry, bring charges or get lost.

What's really disappointing is that no one would have expected anything less from these criminals. They have set the bar so low morality-wise that it would have been a complete shock had they not "lost" the emails. Of course, if this had been a dem in office, it would be non-stop, front page press coverage and peopel screaming for independent investigations and possibly impeachment. How did such an immoral crew ever gain such total control over the supposed moral high ground is beyond me. I guess as far as the right's concerned, saying you believe in Christ is all it takes.

did these crooks give any other expectation to all of us--the stupid right wing are the only ones who believe them and some of the fanatic huff post bloggers--

Please, if this really bothers you, please help Rep. Wexler of Florida who is trying to have hearings on Cheney. He has a petition online to sign and there are approx. 200,000 signatures so far. The more, the better the chance of hearings. This is exactly what needs to be done, rather than sitting around completely angry and frustrated.

I see someone else below has posted it too.

It's time for a justice order and confistgate the hard drives. Unless they've got wizards on the vp staff (and there is no proof of that) they may be able to recover some documents and shed a little light.

Perhaps it's just my mood today - or perhaps it's that all of this rubbish has finally made me completely ill - but for goodness' sake - WHAT bloody more is it going to take for actual change - not just talking about it - but actual change to occur?

Will the VP have to actually murder someone on Fox News Live for people to wake the bloody hell up?!?

He still had over 400,000 shares of Halliburton stock in 2003. If the Democrats are too pussified to impeach him, the least they could do is hold hearings on his war-profiteering and conflicts of interest. If anything, it would put some of his dirty laundry on CNN every day. If you have ever wondered how crazy this old pig is, read his voting record while he was a Congressman.

Dick may be evil, but stupid he ain't!

Boy is he enjoying every moment of it!

Dont bother impeaching, he would probably die, just to spite you!

It's against the law to destroy government records, especially those under investigation. Waxman, bring charges or move off the case.

Just one more reason to sign on to Wexler's impeachment site. He is following up on Dennis Kucinich's HR333 Articles of impeachment.

If you haven't signed on yet, please do so now. http://wexlerwantshearings.com/

And if you haven't learned about Kucinich yet, whether you want to vote for him or not, please do. He has much to say that is worth hearing: http://www.alternet.org/story/74268/

Is it possible that anyone on the planet is surprised by this revelation? The only correction to most of the above is that Dick Cheney is actually running the government. The Republican juggernaut knew he couldn't get elected, so they gave him the job of Veep.
The babbling idiot in the Oval Office is the empty suit they needed to sit in the chair while Cheney gutted the Constitution and tarnished America's reputation all over the world.
It's past time the Democrats put impeachment back on the table.
