I worry about the insuners behind alot of the large company. They do not have the money to cover alot of these company. I think congress have to do something to may sure they have enough money to cover the loses. If alot of these companies tank all bets arre off.That the real tragdy behind the sub-prime mess.

Major Indexes Drop Sharply On Worries Over U.S. Economy

HONG KONG -- Asian stocks suffered a heavy blow Monday on fears of a U.S. recession, as India's index set a record with a 7.4% plunge and 5% or more was sheared off markets in Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China.

The sharp declines, which cast doubt on the theory that the booming region's fortunes have "decoupled" from those of the U.S., came on the heels of a 4% drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average last week. They also reflected investor indifference toward an economic stimulus package President Bush announced Friday. A U.S. recession could take a significant toll on Asian export-led economies. [...]

One should make sure to note that this is a UK article (some don't pay attention)... at first glance I couldn't believe that someone was racist enough to call MLK Day the "Most Depressing Day of the Year"! LOL
