Osama's Son's Wife: We Want Osama To Talk To Bush

Osama bin Laden's son, Omar, appeared on the Today Show this morning, along with his wife. In what was surely one of the more bizarre interviews in awhile, Matt Lauer asked Omar what he would do if he knew his father's location. Would he turn Osama in to the authorities? As it turns out, Omar would not. However, Omar's wife got to the heart of the matter, chiming in with the mystifying claim that what she and Omar really want is for Osama and President Bush to meet and hash out their differences. Only then, she says, will the violence cease.

Better that Bush is impeached and Osama dead. I'm not sure if that will solve our current problems, but it will be one step toward justice for those who died on 9/11, the American military personel who died or have been mentally or physically impaired in the war in Iraq, and the innocent Iraqis who lost their lives. Other than that, Osama's son may have good intentions but is too naive...

Omar says "I'm not going to tell anybody about his place if I know where he is, *and anyway that's not going to happen*". The last part of the sentence is key. Omar, at least, seems to be aware that his father died a long time ago, and that Osama's ghost is only being perpetuated by an administration which needs an enemy.
