Jon Stewart Bill Clinton

Last night on "A Daily Show," Jon Stewart mocked the coverage of the Nevada caucus and the media's reliance on overused gambling terminology ("You have to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em," for instance). He also debunked Bill Clinton's claim of dirty campaign tactics.

Bill and Hillary Clinton, such remarkable models when it comes to telling the truth.
With all the baggage they are carrying on their heads; they have the audacity to attack another Democratic candidate like that.
Hillary, has no leg to stand on when it comes to talking about the Iraq war - she has no excuse for her stupid vote to give Bush the authority to attack Iraq, and yet they seem to point their greedy fingers at Sen. Obama.
We all know he was against the war, and yet they are master's at blaming someone else.
I have lost all respect for this power hungry couple.

I guess it all depends on what the definition of "heard" is...

I think Jon for comedic purposes was taking Bill literally.

But I think he was saying that 'he heard (from someone else)...not that he actually heard it.

You didn't expect Stewart to alienate his audience and support Hillary did you?

Later, all.

Someone slap a few trolls for me while I am gone. There is an especially obnoxious one on the Marty Kaplan thread.

You gotta love the cornered beast response from the Clinton campaign-

"Facts is facts, and Bill will continue to go after Obama's record."

This after Clyburn and others asked him to "chill".

I wonder what's going through their heads that this is a winning strategy.

There is no "debunking" here. Stewart is merely asserting that Clinton could not have "overheard" what he says he did. It's too bad that Stewart got sucked into this non-story.

OH COME ON FOLKS!!!!!!

The latest:

He’s back: Sandy Berger now advising Hillary Clinton

Berger, who was fired from John Kerry’s presidential campaign when the scandal broke in 2004, has assumed a similar role in Clinton’s campaign, even though his security clearance has been suspended until September 2008. This is raising eyebrows even among Clinton’s admirers.

“It shows poor judgment and a lack of regard for Berger’s serious misdeeds,” said law professor Jonathan Adler of Case Western Reserve University, who nonetheless called Clinton “by far the most impressive candidate in the Democratic field.”

Adler told The Examiner that it is “simply incomprehensible to me that a serious contender for the presidency would rely upon him as a key foreign policy advisor.”

He added: “If Senator Clinton becomes the Democratic nominee, at some point she will begin to receive national security briefings that will include sensitive information. At such a point, continuing to keep Berger on board as a key advisor, where he might have access to sensitive material, would be beyond incomprehensible.”

The Clinton campaign declined to comment.

AND HER SO-CALLED GRASSROOTS SUPPORTERS WILL IGNORE THIS AS WELL. IF YOU'RE CAPABLE OF THIS--WAIT FOR THE RELEASE OF DOCUMENTS FROM THE CLINTON LIBRARY----TODAY.

Bill should definitely lie more. He's smart enough to know that his credibility is unimpeachable.

One would think that Gov. Howard Dean and the DNC would telling Billy to STFU wouldn't you? Oh, that's right, sorry I forgot - long before that upstart Obama got into the race - Gov. Dean and the DNC had anoited Hillary as the NEXT PRESIDENT.
If Gov. Dean and the DNC allow this to continue much longer they may be looking at losing not only the WH, but their weak majority in either the Senate or House, maybe both

what gets me - not only did bill stretch the truth, but the comment ends with him saying, "and i haven't seen tactics like this in many years of politics"... or something similar.

i voted for the man twice, but he is definitely a 'slick willy' for more reasons than the obvious.
