I think communication major degrees have no value and should be removed from the student curriculum. This country needs to rid its educational system of these partying degrees and instead spend that money on real degrees.

If you are going to roast someone, you need to come prepare and practice your delivery over and over until you get a refined product you feel is effective. If you are an entertainment figure and you are invited to a roast, you are obligated to do your homework.

Doing so builds goodwill and trust between you and future members of the sports industries and well as you company and with sports figures.

I have never hear of anyone getting hauled off during a roast.

Having done some in my life, I always do my research, try my best to run it buy people who know the person the add or validate the information. The best ones have an underlying theme and funny things that occurred to support it.

You don't have to be an entertainer to do it, it just takes a lot of preparation to make it work.

In the context of a roast, Jacobson's remarks were NOT inappropriate, and no action by your company should have been taken against her. I as a catholic, IN NO WAY am offended by Jacobson's remarks. I feel that Catholic groups pressuring ESPN to take action against Jacobson DO NOT SPEAK for the majority of Catholics, who understand that while Jacobson's remarks may have fallen flat, as an ironic attempt to skewer the hosts, the remarks in no way represent Jacobson's true feelings or any bias or prejudice on her part.

I personally am much more offended by Notre Dame's use of religious iconography in association with sporting events, effectively reducing Jesus to little more than a team mascot and cheapening the religion . I would suggests that those criticizing Jacobson's obvious attempts at irony, instead direct their comments to Notre Dame itself-

She messed up she aplogized...apparently drunk and felt insulated with frineds. I kinda agree with the above post is this TMZ? A large portion of this country is mad at American christianity note small 'c' and rightfully so then seem to not apologize for anything so people are sick of them and hypocrisy which is sad the 10 to 20 percent of people in church will really give you the shirt off their back its the other percentage that are sons and daughters of Jezebel(bitch) and will tell you that Bush is Gods man!

As much as sports fans feel her sentiment about the favoritism alloted to Notre Dame, she should have used here brain when it came to blurting out expletives on TV. But then again she was seen for her looks not her brain - sorry I forgot this was the media.

Hey - i applaud the sentiment she expressed, just maybe not the forum for the remarks... though, since it was during a roast I'd love to hear what remarks DID NOT get attention and condemnation from ESPN.

The vast majority of Americans agree with her. They get special treatment when it comes to college football they should expect this, especially when a girl has a few rinks in her. I invite everyone to join me in sending Dana a bouquet of flowers at ESPN.

Why don't we make this nitwit the most famous person on Earth? Or maybe not such a nitwit! I wonder what could have given her the idea that it could be *helpful* to say something nasty on TV?
