Politico:

Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, the heavily decorated Gulf War commander, will endorse Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday, a Republican source said.

McCain is stumping in Florida and Schwarzkopf is in Colorado. But the general is likely to appear on the campaign trail with McCain soon.

War-booster McCain is facing more trouble in his home state. No, not anti-immigration zealots, just more challengers than in any other Primary! Confusion certain to rule at the Arizona voting booth.

The AZ Primary ballots have begun to arrived in the mail! What's with all the names running for President?

If you think the national leading candidates were hitting rock bottom, Arizona has just set the bar lower, much lower. Unbeknown to cable news pundits spinning themselves silly around polls, Arizona's Primary is destined to make history. A grouping of dark-horse candidacies has doubled the choices for our nation's highest elected office. Historic with four women on the ballot. Project White House 08, a microcosm of the national race, offers as much passion and absurdity as any of the front-running campaigns.

Tired of back-biting politics? Mud-sligning and name-calling? Flip those national campaigns the proverbial finger and join the brave candidates of the Arizona Primary in their bold experiment in politics.

Stormin' Norman of the Gulf War fame. Well he knows everything because he has actually commanded men to kill? But why is the question.

John McCain has never seen a bomb that he would not drop. That's true patriotism. Let's just borrow the money from Social Security and give it to the MIC as did Reagan and Bush. Now that's patriotic! Especially, since it has never been paid back.

When will American finally realize that wars do not make heroes. McCain was bombing innocent civilians during a war that was based on the lies of the Gulf of Tonkin incident and the theory of containment - not the one advanced by George Kennan - the real theory of economic containment he created - but the neocon theory of military containment.

It's all about spending money on the MIC or didn't you listen to another great General who was actually president - Dwight D. Eisenhower! Beware the growth of the cancer of the MIC and the hawks in the Pentagon who bleed everyone in this country out of proportion to the actual military threat to this country.

Just follow the money that these guys make off of their patriotism when they become consultants in military and government procurement. A self-enriching, self-perpetuating cancer, according to President Truman who busted them as a congressman.

If Obama loses to Hitlery, I also will be backing the great senator from Arizona. I am tired of two families thinking that they have a monopoly on the White House. No more Bushes, No more Clintons.

The general long ago morphed into a bloviator. I recall, before Desert Storm commenced, his being asked by PBS whether the capture of Hussein was crucial. I liked the forthright answer he gave which was close to: "No. There are a lot of tin-horn dictators and would-be tin-horn dictators in the wings. The important thing is to keep them in check."

Then, after the war, his song changed -- portraying the decision from above not to go into Baghdad as a mistake. Also, as he was cashing in and taking bows as the heroic general at a Tony Robbins conference, what was a true coalition had morphed into an American victory -- with not so much as a nod given to the many who had joined with us.

Old soldiers never die -- they simply morph into blustery bullshitters recalling a romanticized version of what had been.

McCain was THE model prisoner, heroic under torture and an inspiration and leader for his fellow prisoners. That said, I don't see any evidence that his ordeal has imbued him with any wisdom as to how we should proceed in the Middle East.

As for the general, who knows what he believes today?

Of course, the warriors are going to put their own in office. The rest is circus for the clapping crowd.

General Shultzkopf is an old line General who might be good at directing huge Armies of 750,000 or more! We are no longer in that kind of fight....Unless McCain has told him of his intensions to invade Iran!

Now we have war criminals endorsing each other. Good thing we like being insulted.

Let's see... 70% of us want out of Iraq.

"100 years" McCain obviously does not agree.

How can he be the frontrunner?

I thought the General was dead. I've wondered why he has been quite about this war. I thought he should have weighed in along time ago. For him to endorse somebody now is moot, he has become irrelevent.

This only proves that when you lift up a rock and find one irrelevant fossil, there's often another nearby.

McCain is Too Hawkish and to Angry. He scares me with his ego-driven vow to chase Osama to hell regardless of the death and destruction in may cause. Since McCain thinks it's o.k. to keep our troops in Iraq for fifty years, he would need every veteran to supplement our war actions along with a new draft. Please don't let McCain be nominated! We don't need more war!
