The Political Traps That Plague Romney
Politico:
Mitt Romney is struggling to survive the Republican primaries and caucuses. Even with his victories in Michigan and Nevada, Romney's candidacy remains fragile.
On paper, this is a surprise. Romney should have been thriving. As everyone likes to say, Romney has the greatest asset of all: He looks like a president. Romney is charismatic and intelligent. He does well in front of cameras and can deliver a powerful stump speech. He has an extensive résumé in the worlds of business and politics. He has a compelling story of having been a Republican governor in a "blue" state who can bridge the divide of Washington. His ability to raise campaign contributions has surpassed most expectations.
