James Carville And Paul Begala

Talking Points Memo:

Okay, this is interesting. I've just learned that CNN has told top Dem strategists James Carville, Paul Begala, and Robert Zimmerman -- who are CNN mainstays but are all Hillary supporters -- that they will not be doing any more political analysis on the network until the Democratic primary has reached a conclusion.

I'm also told that this move came after the Obama campaign repeatedly complained to high level officials at CNN about the presence of Carville and Begala on the network.

[Quote from full text of the blog post: ------------- Carville and Begala's presence on CNN has led to criticism for the network in the past. A few months ago the liberal blogosphere roundly condemned CNN for presenting them as neutral observers without identifying them clearly and frequently as Hillary supporters. In response to the criticism, CNN started identifying them as Hillary backers. It APPEARS that the Obama campaign MAY HAVE kept up its criticism of their appearances, however. Asked about the Obama camp's protest, Feist said: "We get advice from all the major campaigns about who should or should not be on CNN. If we listened to all of their advice, then there would be very few commentators left to put on television."]

Most of the responses to this thread are examples of the problem most idiot posters around here have...you either only read the title or the title and the first three sentences. See below for direct comments from the person in charge at CNN instead of the words of a biased blogger that you take as fact because he thinks that's what must have happened with his use of worlds like "appears", "may have", etc. which are the first red flags that something is amiss. Readers really should try to apply a modicum of critical thinking and take the words from the horses mouth (CNN rep) over what another idiot like yourself ASSumes must be the truth.

If that doesn't prove to people that the media wants Obama to win the nomination (because he will be easier to beat in the general election) I don't know what will????

Welcome to the world of MSM. Mainstream news reporting is biased. Are we surprised? I'm not saying that they are biased one way or another. They are simply biased. One network one way, another network another way. They all have a bias.Instead of complaining about it, we must analyze what is being said. It comes down to the bullshit education systems around the country. They are teaching us what to think, not how to think. It's no wonder that we sit around the TV and complain about the reporting. We, as a nation, have no skills in filtering the Bullshit. We expect everybody from Bill O'Reilly to Keith Olbermann to John Roberts to Rush Limbaugh to Chris Matthews to Tim Russert to sort things out when that's our job.

Seeing CNN cave to Obama's people doesn't surprise...and I'm leaning toward Obama.

For a season that was looking refreshing at the New Year, it has turned spectacularly ugly.

Clinton Network News?

From the January 22 edition of CNN's The Situation Room:

WOLF BLITZER (host): A lot of our viewers, Donna, want to get your analysis of what happened last night among these three Democrats.

BRAZILE: Well, it was a very bare-knuckle fight. And I think for Republicans who are wishing for a Hillary or Obama should be scared, because both candidates showed that they will not be Swift Boated.

Look, I know people don't like bloodsports. I tend to like it. I'm from Louisiana. But I believe that what they did last night was, they brought in their research books and said, you know what, I'm going to fight back. And that's what they did.

JEFFREY: You know, I think it was good for Republicans, but I think it was bad for Hillary, even though I think she's probably going to get the nomination.

There was a moment there in the debate, Wolf, where it looked like, if someone had splashed water on Hillary, she would have melted like the Wicked Witch of the West.

BRAZILE: Oh, that's awful.

JEFFREY: There's two characteristics about Hillary Clinton that I think came out in the debate that would play against her in a general election. One was her demeanor. She did very well in the New Hampshire debate, when she was charming and deflected tough questions with a smile and a laugh. She didn't do that last night. The second is the question Obama was hitting hard last night, hitting hard today, is the truthfulness of the Clintons.

BRAZILE: You know, if that was Margaret Thatcher, you would be here salivating. You would be the one with the water.

This is such BS. Sounds like same old politics to me from the Obama camp. No one can disagree if you are truly academically looking at this. If you are blinded by your candidates kooliad, this is the same strategy that all the clintons bashers complain about, yet if Obama does it he's protecting himself. So hypocritical. I imagine we will see more of this type of "strategy" just like the Obama voting record as he stated in the SC debate. I'm all for change, and will vote for the one the proves it. Having thin speeches and pigging back off other peoples work does not constitute the ability to lead a country. Vote the issues, not hope. If Obama could actually provide a healthy details plan for his change, then he actually could win. But for now, he's thin on experience and thin on realism.

If Hillary wants us to judge her by her experience, then why won't she release her records?

I've posted this quite a few times already and I've only gotten one answer -- from someone (a Clinton supporter) who was honest enough to admit that Hillary has something to hide, which is why she is doing so.

Anyone else care to answer why Hillary is allowed to tout her experience while hiding the records of said experience?

I watch CNN part of the time and MSNBC part time, Faux, no time at all. The truth for me is that every time I have seen these two "talk" about the party the like, Dems, they always go right to the I support Hillary bandwagon and it shows. I have found it offensive when they are supposed to be talking globally but always sing about her to not be really representing what they were supposed to be doing. Why talk about democrats in general when all they have is their own agenda to spew her support only? I agree but am supprised they are banned. I would have told them general talk or no talk for sure to make it clear what was supposed to be going on.

How is this interesting? Is it interesting in the nature that Carville is insane, or that he used to work on the Clinton campaign? Both of these people are lackeys of the Clintons, CNN the Faux News of the Left.

So now I think it would be a good idea to remove from MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Mika Brzynski (? spelling) since her father is national security advisor to Barak Obama's campaign and a senior advisor.. what's fair is fair...and her anti Clinton commentary is so glaring and partisan.

Giants like Carville and Begala are part of that old Clinton crowd. It is a shame that the Democratic party is divided so much, after the Clintons decided to play nasty. I do not think Hillary is the ideal Dem. nominee, because she is uniting the Republican party, and will make them come out in droves, to vote against her.
Big Bill Clinton will also add to the garbage that will be thrown at Democrats.
Do we really need this crap?
