Bill Gates

Wall Street Journal:

Free enterprise has been good to Bill Gates. But later today, the Microsoft Corp. chairman will call for a revision of capitalism.

In a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the software tycoon plans to call for a "creative capitalism" that uses market forces to address poor-country needs that he feels are being ignored.

"We have to find a way to make the aspects of capitalism that serve wealthier people serve poorer people as well," Mr. Gates will tell world leaders at the forum, according to a copy of the speech seen by The Wall Street Journal.

Buske - the problem is, or could be, that the US was spared a lot of what Hitler had done during his temper tantrums. The US was left standing; the result helped build the US...

There are also sources, (turning my head to mrcontinental), that put up the tinfoil about Gates putting seeds in vaults. I recall only one, but had been told (from a different site, that also wears tinfoil in the clothiers') how it is not a credible source of information.

And, staring bug-eyed at outnow, Mr. Gates is not an Aspie. Please don't put him in with the group. Aspies suffer from social skills problems. To make it big in the marketplace as he had, one needs impeccable social skills. I know many Aspies. I happen to be one. Bill is not an Aspie.

The polymath mind of Mr Gates is interesting. He is right at this point. At the conceptual age (cf Daniel Pink),new capitalism must be creative and based on six high-touch senses: Design, Story, Symphony, Empathy, Play and Meaning

How about just a new New Deal, a Marshall Plan for the world, a stable monetary-financial system (like the Bretton Woods system), put banks in bankruptcy protection and create millions of meaningful jobs in infrastructure construction?

FDR did that and it proved to work excellently. The USA went from a depression to become the world's greatest economy -- despite the Second World War that we had 16,000,000 citizens actively engaged in.

It would work just great today.

Instead of trying to get the US taxpayer to buy a computer for every kid in Africa Bill Gates should look at the big picture. He is a victim on one dimensional materialist thinking. What we need is not more stuff, what we need is to be happy.

The gal who made this video should have gotten the Nobel prize instead of Al Gore.

Bill, you need to quit telling the world what it needs and start listening.

So you give Africa a huge software grant. And they don't use it. You are stunned.

Nobody wants Vista either.

Start listening to what people want and need, and develop products that meet those needs.

Dipshit.

I'm surprised that he is not calling for Revolution Edition 2.0.

The guy has Asperger's Syndrome. He is not a touchy-feely guy. Compassionate capitalism? Hm....What's that? Bush Editon 2.0?

Creative capitalism? Yeah, right? A little dab of Eugene Debs or Sinclair Lewis, maybe? How about FDR?

I'm not buying what you're selling Bill. You've been hanging out with the Rockefeller's and building seed vaults in the artic in anticipation of starving the planet in the not so distant future.

What is it about money that takes away a persons humanity?
