Bill Clinton: Hillary-McCain Would Be "Most Civilized Election In American History"

Bill Clinton just staged a passionate defense of his wife here, after a voter asked how Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton could unite this country when it is so split, politically and racially, and when she is such a polarizing figure.

The question unleashed an attack against the Republicans and an unusual assertion that Mr. Clinton had somehow escaped those attacks (has he forgotten so quickly?); he said he understood the right-wing bullies because he grew up with them. And he said that when they "didn't have me to kick around anymore," they went after his wife...

... He also said that Mrs. Clinton had worked with Republicans, including Senator Lindsay Graham, Republican of South Carolina.

And then he painted this scene: "She and John McCain are very close," he said. "They always laugh that if they wound up being the nominees of their party, it would be the most civilized election in American history and they're afraid they'd put the voters to sleep because they like and respect each other."

I have no Democrat to vote for. I will vote for one, but I will not be happy. I will not vote for Hillary Clinton, so I guess that leaves Sen. Obama. Fine, a black man (sort of) who believes in capital punishment. That's just not good enough. And while we're at it, he voted for the latest Patriot Act and then said it was bad. I'm pretty sure I actually read that. I could be losing my mind. I'm certainly losing hope.

Civilized?
Why should the middle class remain civilized after the way they have been sold out by both parties.
Where have all the factories gone and who was responsible.
The Republicans drew up the treaties and under Bill Clinton they were passed. Doin't look for the good paying factory jobs to come back with any help from Hillary.
Look for the ports in Mexico and the new super highway to take even more middle class jobs out of the nation.
We have been sold out by both parties!

As a loyal lifetime Democrat I must say that South Carolina is where BILL CLINTON LOST his voice!

So, the Clintons find it "fun" to carve-up a fellow Democrat, but would act "civilized" against a Republican?

Uh, that's much worse than saying the Republicans had some ideas.

If the Clintons are successful in their rhetorical lynching of Sen. Obama that leaves only one question. Which black politician will she pick for a running mate?

Why do they like each other?:

Both are bought and paid for.

Both will continue the policies of Psycho Bush Jr.

Both are being controlled by their backers and the neocon MSM to insure that they get their respective nominations. So at least that way it LOOKS like an actual election. When we all know it's not.

Both will do anything to maintain their party's money and power.

Feel free to add to the list.

If Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, a Republican will win the White House. There is so much hatred for Hillary, it will unite Republicans and Independents alike against her. For three years after Bill was out of the White House, there were "Letters to the Editor" filled with vitriol against Hillary. She may make a good president, but what does it matter if she cannot get there?
Senator Obama reaches so many Americans, from Evangelical Conservatives to far left Liberals...I feel he is the only Democratic candidate able to win the country and get us back on track.

Karl Rove comes from the same Darkside that sent Jewish men, women, and children to the gas chambers. Karl Rove is of the same Evil that slaughtered the Armenians - and the Cambodians, and the American Inadians.

Chant the name of the Lord. If you have no God/Godess sing songs of peace and joy. Only when enough light comes through the Darkness will good and decent people be rid of poisionsious souls such as little boy Karl Rove with his pants down.

Less Karl Rove in 08 - more John Lennon.

War is OVER is WE want IT.

Namaste...
