Kerry Blasts Bill Clinton For Abusing Truth

John Kerry, the Democratic Party's 2004 nominee for president, took aim at Bill Clinton Friday, telling the National Journal the former president does "not have a license to abuse the truth."

The Massachusetts senator, who endorsed Barack Obama's White House bid earlier this month, said Clinton's criticisms of the Illinois senator have been "over the top," and suggested the former president is getting "frantic."

Targeting Clinton's recent spate of attacks on Obama, Kerry said, "I think you had an abuse of the truth, is what happened. ...I mean, being an ex-president does not give you license to abuse the truth, and I think that over the last days it's been over the top.

John Kerry is the most disappointing candidate the Democrats ever had. He lost the election that Democrats gave to him with full confidence. He was short in his delivery and campaigning during the general election. He did not fight the swiftboating issue even though his running mate and the rest of the Dems encouraged and begged him to do so. He is damaged goods and has no credibility with the Dems. The 3 million + email recipients he has hate him and will never forget the 2004 election. He is a loser and an idiot. Obama should have implored John Kerry not to endorse him. It doesn't help him except for 1 superdelegate pledge.

John Kerry, go back to your hole and don't come out until after the general election.

Give me a break! Kerry took a plastic knife to a machine gun fight. Come on people and CNN. Bill is just getting warmed up…and this country will be so much better for it. Maybe if Kerry had "allowed" Bill to fight for him, Kerry wouldn't have had to mortgage his house in the primaries OR lose the national and lose the country all in one night.

Amazing how quickly John Kerry "blasts" a fellow Democrat. Why didn't he blast the Swift Boaters when they lied about Kerry himself?

And I am still wondering who decided to portray Howard Dean as some sort of nut job in 2004, and then we got Kerry as the nominee. Howard Dean was a great candidate, against the Iraq invasion, a fiscal conservative/social liberal with experience as governor of Vermont, from the Democratic wing of the Democratic party but somehow we ended up with Kerry. It was just another case of hold my nose and vote for the Dem. Hope the same thing doesn't happen this year.

Sometimes I think that both parties are playing bad cop, good cop.
They have total control so as to raid our treasury, and they start an unending war (for profit) and their president is the whipping boy. (as it should be)
Then, after getting away with all the crimes against us, it is now the good cop's turn, to repair the damage done by the previous administration, thus pacifying the voters. All so the country will think we are on the right track again, then after a term or two, the momentum shifts back to the guys who steal the most from us. Either way, the voter and the American people get screwed.
