Does the media exaggerate sometimes? Obviously. Can it be damaging? If you're the ex-president wading vigorously into the fray of your wife's presidential run and everyone's nattering over your temper and the damage to your legacy, then presumably yes, insofar as it buttresses that speculation.

The clip of Bill Clinton and CNN's Jessica Yellin from earlier this week is one such example, as Jon Stewart astutely points out in this clip:

Stewart notes that Clinton's reaction was far from the explosive anger most of the media portrayed it as (here's a rule of thumb: When there is no finger-pointing, he's not too fussed. There was no finger pointing with that reporter in San Fran, either). Here at ETP we noted that too, wondering how our take could have differed so from that of other journalists (including Yellin, whose impressions were no doubt informed by being on the other side of a tense exchange with a pretty commanding man).

We're pleased that Stewart vindicated our observations.

MSM does whatever is easy and gets the public's attention. Wouldn't want talking heads sitting around discussing the actual problems this country is facing and who might handle those problems best, now would we?

Much easier to play a game of "Let's you and him fight."

Jon Stewart just tells the truth and makes the media (including Huffington Post) look like jackasses!

Huffpost is as culpable as any of the main stream media outlets.

"When Did The Media Become Don King?"

In 1996, when Murdoch chose to enter the world of cable news with the Fox News Channel because in 1995, Murdoch's Fox Network became the object of scrutiny from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), when it was alleged that News Ltd.'s Australian base made Murdoch's ownership of Fox illegal.

That is exactly why I don't listen to the media it is just a TV show, just about rating and they don't care about facts just the polls and those show how wrong they can be.

Again I say, THANK GOD JON STEWART IS BACK! (and Colbert)

Thank you thank you thank you for pointing out all the absurdity in the media!

What happened to journalists? All they are now are just pretty puppets trying to increase ratings(except Olbermann - he rocks!). They really need to change who owns the media - take it out of private hands or something, and make it public.

No one cares about truth anymore, it is all about ratings.

The Don King line in this vid cracked me up.

Love you Jon and am so glad you are bringing a little more rational speak to the wing dings in the republican race and the Mr Bill and Hil show. Most of all the things I missed most while Jon was gone was the ability to laugh at all the nutty things people do when trying to be adults about things.

The entire media should all be made to attend a class in ethics as it seems they all attended drama school.

Thank God Bill Maher, John Stewart and Steven Colbert are back.
They bring sanity with them.

Stewart is like the Jester at the kings court. He tells the truth so Rupert can laugh at himself.
The rest of us don't count, until the revolution.

Got the guts to change this crap?

Ariana gives writers who "erupt in a pyroplastic flow" a bonus. That is why Ron Paul has ended up like the victim of Pompeii that Stewart showed in the video. The media, calling itself left and right is like Hannity and Colmes. The media tag teams to destroy those politicians who tug at the pantleg of big money and annoy it, while it steps on Americans.
