Los Angeles Times:

After two middle-school boys in camouflage gear shot and killed four classmates and a teacher here, leaving 10 others wounded and a community shattered, it seemed inevitable that someone would see opportunity in the tragedy for a book deal.

Indeed, within days a publisher agreed to pay $25,000 to an Arkansas writer to produce a book on youth violence.

Huckabee is one sick son-of-a-bitch who hides his radical religionus extremism behind the bible and calls implies that anyone who disagrees with him is anti-christian. If you like Huckabee you should like living in Iran. The religious oppression is the same, the God is the same, it's just a different prophet.

There will be a special place in hell for the likes of Huckabee.

The major problem I have with Huckabee is his affilation and leadership role with the extreme religious right.

He doesn't believe in evolution and I don't care what people believe as individuals, but if such a person becomes America's President, our political and cultural environment could be no different than what the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia have decreed - i.e., let's all leap out of the 8th century again.

It's true that Huckabee wasn't over the edge as the Governor of Arkansas, but there's no telling what he'll become if President. Better safe than very sorry. Sorry, but no Huck is the best way for America.

I beleive Huck wrote the book to help people deal with the tragedy. He was after all a Baptist minister.

Of course the DLC will put the worst spin on anything Huck does.

The Huck is a rube with primitive beliefs about the nature of reality. He'll be a tiny footnote who has already had a bit more than his 15 minutes of fame.
Change the Constitution to fit the Bible? Take back America for Jesus? How insane is that? The Founding Fathers all thought Christianity was, at the root, a bizarre
cult.

He is a typical Southerner. We should fear them all. They have a way of thinking you can't believe unless you have lived there.

A piece from the LA Times -

Victims' families were outraged. They called the payment blood money and said the author was cashing in on their pain. They demanded that the money go to the school, victims' relatives or scholarships for the wounded, not to the writer's personal bank account. He refused.

That the author was Mike Huckabee, Arkansas' governor at the time, made their resentment all the stronger.

"He took advantage of us," said Pam Herring, whose daughter, Paige Ann, had just turned 12 when she was shot to death.

"He was out for one thing and that was money," said Mitch Wright, whose wife, Shannon, a teacher, died protecting children. "He made money at our expense."

I love the Internet... You can run, but you can't hide from the Internet Huckster. Now go away

WHAT is it going to take for people to get it that this MONSTER is the most dangerous thing to come down the political pike since Goebells? Maybe his son was reading a MENGELE biography right before he killed that poor animal.

He is porking up big time again. There is no way in HELL on earth this freak of the deep south is ever going to be President. If only for the shallow reason that he will be morbidly obese like he was before, like his son and his wife... all this in short order.

He can't keep his sweaty, thin lips off the deep fried squirrel.

Gotta be skeptical of those folks that appear to be of 'common sense'. Mostly they are the big simplifiers, many times they are just hypocrites.

How does the GOP manage to dig these pathetic folks out?

Well, anyway, he's toast.

Holy Huck N'Jesus Y'all!

Yes but what you don't realize is that anyone who opposes Mike Huckabee is for sure a godless, left wing "terrorist" who is going to be sentenced to burn in hell! Mr.Huckabee has this on very good...even diving authority because his pal Jesus told him so right to his face! Hey so remember just don't Huck around with Jesus!

After reading the entire saga of the Wayne Dumond parole, now this story, and stories about his general ethics, this guy seems creepier and creepier. Just what we need at this critical time....another president who is for sale.
