A source inside the Obama campaign says the candidate's web site has seen one of its best hours tonight, raising $525,000 in one hour. A senior aide inside the Obama campaign said the candidate's site saw its "highest peak" tonight in both online donations and traffic, "bigger than after Iowa, bigger than after New Hampshire."

The Obama campaign measures online donations every 15 minutes, and the source said that online money was pouring in at the rate of more than $500,000 per hour.

Ha, and Hillary's response? "Why are all these people throwing their money away! I'M the inevitable winner! Why would they just throw their hard earned dollars away, when I'M the one getting all the corporate cash?" Also, anyone who hasn't signed up and seen the Obama fundraising system in action, doesn't have the right to declare that all the donations are "corporate". Also, obviously people believe in this guy, or they wouldn't be "throwing their hard earned dollars away" at him. And a whole lot of people don't have that kind of cash to just throw away at a whim, so they obviously have done the research and know that there's something they like about the guy. So, for all those who would say that it's either "corporate" cash or "idiots throwing their money away", I'd have to ask you to really think about what you're saying. Could it be that it's simply because it's not YOUR candidate that's receiving all the cash? Maybe you need to take a real look at the candidates, and not through the lens of the mainstream media, or even the partisan media...and look at their actual platforms before rushing off to judge another candidate's supporters.

Obama mentioned in his speech that a little old lady sent him a money order for $3.01. Anyone know the snail mail address where you can send a donation?

Excellent, I hope Barack Obama makes headway in other States after this amazing win.

I am not impressed with Edwards. Since he lost in 2004, he seems to be doing nothing but camaigning for 2008. What has he done for this country, the last 4 years?

Love to see all the whining, makes me appreciate how well Obama did. Knowing it is irritating to so many know-it-all's is icing on the cake.

$500,000 an hour? Wow ... Most Impressive!

I wonder just how many starving children in Africa THAT money will NEVER feed?!?

Obama and Hillary have an almost identical voting record in the Senate, which when you think about it, should mean she is getting about the same kind of big-money too right? I mean, after all, they are both basically two politicians espousing the same empty-suit rhetoric, right? Two currently elected politicians that are part of a congressional body that has a WORSE approval rating than George W. Bush because in the peoples mandate for change in the '06 election, what did we get? Hardworking Senators fighting to end the Iraq war, or a couple of political opportunists spending more time furthering their own political ambitions while our brave men and women are dying in Bush's war.

Two senate candidates with almost identical voting records in the Senate who have horrible attendance records in Congress. Man, that is just such a hard decision to make. It's like picking out which currently elected senatorial turd stinks the least. Decisions ... decisions.

Edwards '08!

This man is magic when he speaks.

The President isn't elected to micromanage the government. For the simple reason that American is too big for anyone to micromanage.

He/She must LEAD the country.

We are watching the definition of a leader. When Barack Obama calls, salute and ask "how high".

The auction to buy Obama has begun. $500,000 an hour.

Shall we dance to the sound of the profitable

In molasses and rum and slaves

I look forward to the day when Barack Obama, Michelle, and their two lovely daughters occupy the White House.

Millions more votes. Millions more chances to give the finger to the Clinton dynasty and their impending co-presidency. Now if we could only get those "super-delegates" to, you know, support the guy with the most votes and the most regular delegates.

My BBBBBBBIIIIIGGGG Problem with all this is all this dang money, there has to be a cleaner lest expensive way to get a decent man to the white house. Let's see, Kucinich for the 1st time was in the main stream media after he decided to retire from the Presidents race. How horrible is that! Talk about exclusion by the Rat B# media! What happened to free and fair elections? Kucinich and Edwards are the best canidates for the American people, they represent the peoples well being. Now Big Money and corporate interests are electing our candidates, what a sham, no money for the two front runners.

G, and mad as all hell

I'll wait to see what happens February 5. I don't want to have my hopes dashed the way they were after New Hampshire. I shall hold my breath, as I hold out hope.

83% of the people on this site http://www.barackobamacentral.com say they will NOT vote for Hillary if she gets the nomination. 8% say they will, 8% are undecided.
