Barbara Walters told her fellow panelists on The View" that Britney Spears' friend-manager-hanger on Sam Lufti called her over the weekend to say that Britney has mental issues, that they are treatable, that she has seen a psychiatrist, and she is in touch with her mother. Then Whoopi made fun of it.

Actuslly I didn't see Whoopi making fun of it so much as just giving a sign off and possibly making fun of the MEDIA attention given to Brit.

For the entire clip until the sign off to commercial Whoopi seemed more in tune with the fact that Brit needed help more than the moron with the wig who immediately went into "well he's a manager and he'll say whatever she tells him". I felt SHE denigrated the conversation more than anything Whoopi said.

As for the comments about Dr. Barbara??? What the hell?

She made no attempt to play doctor she simply repeated what Brit's manager said. Sometimes I wonder about whether people here have any reading comprehension abilities or not.

Not to mention a complete lack of compassion.
