Barbara Walters Bans Kathy Griffin From "The View" — Again

"I was supposed to be on 'The View' [today]," said Griffin, who performs her final sold-out stand-up show tonight at Madison Square Garden. "But then I get a call from [producer] Bill Geddie, and he says, 'You were too mean to Barbara [Walters] on your last special, so you can't come on.' Can you believe it? I've been banned before but never re-banned!"

Kathy is a moron and clearly most of her "fans" fit that pattern as well.

I stopped watching Bravo when all I could find were Kathy's mind numbingly stupid specials.

Perhaps the most offensive thing about this fraud is her need for approval manifesting itself through her multiple forays into plastic surgery. I guess she felt just being trying to be funny wasn't enough and now she too worships at the altar of the American Beauty Myth. Screw her.

If there was a way to ban her from all media I would be first to sign the roll.

I only time I ever watched the View is when Rosie was on. With the two Jesus freaks, Joy Behar just milking it to the end and watered down Whoopi, the show is a total bore. They should have jumped at the chance to have Kathy on.

I tried to hate Kathy Griffin but she's too hilarious to ignore.
Baba Wawa can't take what Kathy dishes out, but I imagine Joy Behar and Whoopie Goldberg would play off her witty repartee quite nicely.
Too bad old Barbara holds the reins. At age 78, she should consider stepping down and leave The View to youngsters Joy and Whoop.

The View is a very important show. Without Wawa, Hassle and the anthropologist the world just might get the impression that women have come a long way baby.

Joy, however is a joy and Whoopie's much too quiet.

Ya know what Barbara and Kathy don't really care, they KNOW it's just fodder for the tabloids and bloggers, they'll both survive even if 'The View' goes off the air forever.
KG is funny and BW is really one of the last news medis folk who don't resort the the CNN/FNC/Corp. media thing. And ya know KG just lives for this it'll provide her with a TON of new material for future shows.

"mean to barbara"? just what kind of talk is that? reminds me of being 8 when my best friend would get mad at me because i pushed him off the swing set. "i don't want to play with you because you were mean to me and pushed me off the swing set", he would say.

later, he devised this response: "my uncle is a lawyer and he'll sue you because you pushed me off the swing set".

Kathy is entertaining but she is mean and she does have a potty mouth. it's a trade off. you want entertainment there's gotta be some Rosie O there somewhere.
