Major Hispanic Group Launches 'Hate Speech' Campaign Targeting Dobbs, Beck

The country's leading Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization is set to begin a campaign targeting several newscasters and presidential candidates for what it deems "rhetoric that demonizes immigrants and Hispanic Americans."

The National Council of La Raza, which includes nearly 300 affiliated organizations, will launch a new initiative on Thursday titled "We Can Stop The Hate," aimed at curtailing the influence of CNN's Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck as well as MSNBC political commentator Pat Buchanan. In addition, the organization is petitioning for Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee to renounce the endorsement of Jim Gilchrist, a cofounder of the Minuteman Project, an anti-immigration group.

"There's a bully in the room," said Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CE, "and each of these candidates has a choice. They can stand up to the bully or they can cater to him. It is a question of courage or cowardice. To date, we have seen far too little courage."

The NCLR campaign, which will likely last through the presidential election, will catalogue the use of code words that paint immigrants as threats. The website accompanying the launch will included fact sheets and video samples documenting examples of inflammatory immigration-policy rhetoric.

The organization has requested a meeting with senior executives at CNN, Fox, and MSNBC, to discuss the philosophical viewpoints of their respective anchors and commentators. The ultimate goal of the campaign, officials say, will be to stem the "surge in hate speech and violence" that has emerged in the immigration debate.

"The immigration issue deserves serious debate and serious solutions," said Murguía. "We cannot have that debate as long as hate has the floor."

Most Americans cant even mantain a sizable savings account, and these guys are sending money back to their starving and desperately poor relatives living in Mexico. Because Mexico aint a democracy, its controlled by a wealthy elite who manage to work out "free" trade deals that only benefit the themselves while forcing hundreds of farmers under when cheap american agriculture is shipped down there (funny how that worked out?) And how many of the responders to this blog wash dishes, do landscaping, do the grunt-work for geo-seismic exploration for oil (you know the stuff you need for your SUV and to make the plastic for your PC), and a host of other things these people who want to seal off our borders wouldn't be caught dead doing.

If you come in an Illegal way, your breaking the law. You will probably then be forced out of fear or employer, to perform more illegal acts. Such as using someone else social security number so the employer can make you look legal on his books for the government and more.

I would like to see some studies of how treatment differs between the insured, and those not so fortunate. If the service costs $1000, and you can prove coverage, the insurance company, pays about $400. If you are uninsured, you pay either $1000, or nothing. If you are unable to pay the $1000, you can beg for help from the government, and if they agree, then they can pay $400 for the service. Those who are uninsured and pay, subsidize the insured. The polls tell us that the majority of the American people would like to have a universal, single-payer, not-for-profit, healthcare system, however, the presidential candidates who espoused doing, what the people wanted, particularly health care, are, unfortunately, no longer competing. Some presidential candidates have inferred, that the 50 million uninsured, are uninsured by choice. Their plan is to force people to pay the insurance company the way they have with auto insurance. We now have traffic police, checking to see that you payed your premium. Most of the uninsured are children, Many adults have had, prior health issues, making them higher risk, and therefore uninsurable. The great majority simply cannot afford it. One third of the dollars spent on retail health care stays with the insurance companies. Everyone gets ripped off, except the insurance companies, and the pharmaceutical companies.

I can't speak to what Beck's track record is like, (I was so offended by an interview he did with Al Sharpton I've never given him a second chance) but Dobbs, and especially Buchanan I can testify are COMMITTED RACISTS.

CNN has obviously told Dobbs to dial it back, but Buchanan is largely given free reign at MSNBC. He is being laughed at regularly by fellow guests for his constant PRAISE OF BILL CLINTON for using race baiting, yet, MSNBC does nothing.

I was so pissed off to see his fat face on Scarborough this morning I fired off an email asking them why they would let somebody who's written a book about how "white" people are going to become a minority in the next few years be a FEATURED commentator on politics.

Buchanan is just hoping that Hillary will get the nomination by appealing to liberal bigots out here in California so the Republicans will have a chance in the general, but he is a committed RACIST nonetheless. Just read his stuff (if you can stomach it) and you'll find out.
