Pelosi Slams Bush Iraq

Washington Times:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ridiculed President Bush yesterday for saying in his State of the Union speech Monday night that the United States is winning the war in Iraq.

The California Democrat also expressed doubts that political reconciliation in the war-torn country had been advanced by laws to share oil wealth among the country's sectarian groups and to allow members of deposed dictator Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party to return to government jobs.

"The president's comments last night in his speech were yet again another example of the lack of reality that he brings to this discussion," Mrs. Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill. "For a president of the United States to come before the Congress nearly five years after this war [began] and deem it a success is just hard to understand."

Nancy Pelosi: We don't believe you any more.

You are a DLC.ORG republican lite who believes in the Iraq war crime as an PNAC.info instrument of foreign policy.

Your pathetic "show" of resistance is tiresome.

You believe that YOU Dems had something to do with you winning in 2006.

You had NOTHING to do with dems winning in 2006.

We VOTERS voted against the war and for impeachment.

You Nancy Pelosi: betrayed us, the voters. You betrayed you constitutional oath.

How Dare you and your rethug-lite DLC.org dems stand and clap for Bush the War Criminal.

Ar! Ar! clap clap...trained, kiss ass, seals.

Nancy: Step Down! You are a failure.

Toppling Saddam Hussein left a void that is not going to be filled by any of Bush's puppet's he gets for the job. That was the biggest mistake Bush made in his 'Regime Change'! It was a mistake and nothing he can ever do is going to change it! Regardless of how bad Saddam was it wasn't as bad as the country is now. I don't think the mess is any better than it ever has been. The surge has been the typical Bush failure. It hasn't done a thing for the void left in the Iraq's government. At least Pelosi is intelligent enough to recognize that. Bush just learned to start putting on a smile for a disaster. Trying once more to fool the American people into staying in that disaster. He is trying to paint it a success when we all know it isn't!

After reading many of the comments it becomes evident that the people defending this administration and its policies are woefully unaware of the role MSM.If this administration had the MSM demanding answers to the plethora of illegal actions undertaken such as torture, wiretapping, outing CIA field agents, oil contracts,Blackwater invading homes in New Orleans,Halliburton operating above the law in Iraq,Cheney profiting from the war....this list seems truly endless,we would have a different mindset across the nation. When we have news organizations like FOX News, which should be considered the propaganda arm of this administration, delivering lies into the homes of Americans, and other corporate owned MSM outlets that refuse to stand up for truth and justice,it's hard to comprehend how we will ever dig ourselves out of this hole.

Pardon me, Ma'am, but did you expect Pinocchio to say something truthful? I doubt it. You already knew what he was going to say.

From the article, "Nancy Pelosi ridiculed President Bush yesterday... "
Ha ha ha. What a joke Nancy is. Bush has been ridiculing her since the day she said became "Impeachment is Off the Table Pelosi" And rather than change her tune she just kisses up to him and continues to fund this illegal occupation. She's had so many opportunities to change her mind (a woman's perogative) but, like Bush, she's staying the course with impeachment off the table.
Nancy is a hypocrite and a coward.
Maybe she decided to say something about Bush's progress remarks to keep the spotlight off his signing statement yesterday. What does she have to say to that? Nothing.

It's not a war, but an occupation. The "insurgents"/terrorists are pissed off Iraqis defending their country against an occupying force.
Wouldn't you do the same if Iraqis were occupying Washington/New York/Los Angeles?

"Progress in Iraq" What a crock. Sure the violence has gone down; geez, at a price tag of $5000.00 per second 24/7 to the American tax payer for 5 years now the violence better go down or somebody in the Pentagon needs an involutary firehose enema. Unfortunately the reality is that all the insurgents and militants in Iraq are simply biding their time waiting for the "surge" to end. In the meantime they have plenty of time to gather weapons, ammo, intellegence and to recruit and train more militants. They know the "surge" is only temporary and they lose nothing by waiting. When the troop levels start to drop they'll crawl out of the woodwork, stronger than ever, and the killing will start all over again. Politically NOTHING in Iraq has changed. Any "progress" is a mirage. Bush should be forced to spend his retirement there.

I love that Ms Pelosi is standing higher and looking down at the shrinking Bu$h.

He is becoming less and less relevant.
I am living for the moment he disappears.

A year from now we will have heard our new Democratic President on the 1st of many SOTU.
Bu$h will be just a bad memory.

Apparently everything is hard for Nan to comprehend. such things as 'END THE WAR IN IRAQ', 'IMPEACHMENT OF THE VP (AND PRES)', 'STOP FUNDING THE WAR' 'YOU SUCK' AND 'RESIGN'(otherwise you are just lengthening your prison sentence)

Yet another example of the dumbing down of our 'elected' Officials. Get her some knee pads for god's sakes she's been working hard.
