Conservative talk radio is ganging up on presidential candidate John McCain, attacking him for joining Democrats to push liberal legislation and opposing bedrock Republican positions from tax cuts to immigration.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney appears to be the favorite of conservative talk-radio stars and stands to benefit from their distaste for the Arizona senator, who is running neck and neck with Mr. Romney in the race for the presidential nomination.

McClintObama Amnesty Plan: 20 million illegal alien voters 2010

William Gheen
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)
www.alipac.us

Have GOP Voters forgotten that just a few months ago, John McCain stood hand-in-hand with liberal icon Ted Kennedy pushing for the largest amnesty for illegal aliens in American history? While Rasmussen polling showed that Americans following the legislation very closely opposed it 3 to 1 (69% to 23%), McCain ignored the massive public outcry!

The angry calls rolling into the Senate offices, including John McCain's, were between 50 and 100 to 1 against McCain and Kennedy's bill. We know this because we stood outside his door counting calls received by his staff and because other Senators told us the ratios they were receiving. History was made when the Capital phone system shut down, due to overload of calls from angry Americans.

John McCain refused to listen to Americans and went so far as to call members of the Senate who refused to support the McKennedy Amnesty "Racists"! John McCain showed no regard for American voices and instead called those who disagreed with him petty names. Who was John McCain listening to? He was listening to the US Chamber of Commerce and the racist illegal alien support groups like La Raza (The Race) whom he openly coordinated the effort with.

John McCain has illustrated in dramatic fashion that when he feels safe in his office, he couldn't care less about what a majority of Americans think.

Now, John McCain claims he is listening because he wants to be President in a few months. He says he will "Secure the Border First!" Even if you could trust John McCain, which you cannot, his border security pledge will be quickly reduced to irrelevance, if his desire for Amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens becomes a reality.

Obama brags about how he worked with Senator McCain for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" amnesty. If the GOP voters allow McCain to win the primary, they will be denying Americans any real choice against Amnesty in November...

Rush and his gang of cohorts are like a gang of abusive spouses coming home from the bar to beat the wife. They are not attacking McCain, they are attacking McCain supporters - trying to use guilt and shame to bring them home from the abuse shelter.

Things are going according to plan. The people's wishes are already shut out. Thank money. Thank corporate media. Thank a nation addicted to instant gratification. Thank semi-literacy. Thank the corporate lobbyists.

I don't suppose that these right-wing radio nutjobs would ever stop and consider that the results of the primaries show that the American people - even Republican voters - just don't like conservatives anymore.

I'm predicting that McCain will win the GOP nomination and the presidential election.

It will be the death of America as a great nation.

One small, tiny mean-spirited consolation would be to hear Limbaugh et al saying all sorts of nasty things about their GOP president.

The Repukelican Party is undergoing the same process that every political party undergoes when it lets itself be taken over by rigid ideologues and fanatics. Being a true believer becomes of paramount importance, ideological litmus tests proliferate, the extremist elements drive away the more pragmatic and moderate elements, and eventually the party fragments.

The world will be a better place without Rush Limbaugh - Go Hillary! Make this bastard choke on his next whopper!

You could just as easily say that about the Democratic party, with the split between Hillary and Barry.
Once the dems choose you'll see the "fracture" come together like the liquid terminator in T2. Then we terminate you.

Rush lives off the public airways, which are licensed by the government and free which makes him a communist. This is why he whines about socialism, which he declares is communism and it's not, to deflect attention from the fact that he lives off of the government trough, likes it, and doesn't want to share it, a typical communist.

Right-wing talk radio has been losing listeners for years. The shrill, weasel-worded rants are tiresome and grating on the brain.

The listeners that remain are primarily recovering addicts, recently paroled, uneducated haters and folks most of you would never let near your kids.

Really bad news is - as unemployment increases look for the number of listeners to increase. Or not?

As soon as Rush receives orders from his paymasters, he'll declare McCain the only man who can save America from the liberal hordes.

Right wing radio destroys the credibility that conservatism had and then they wonder why people are looking for an alternative.

It is really strange to hear them play Reagan speeches about lowering taxes and reducing spending when the time Reagan was speaking in was one of high unemployment, high inflation, union power, a deficit in social security and democratic congresses that had been in power so long that they had built up huge unsustainable spending programs. All that is now different. We have high employment, low inflation, a social security surplus, corporate power (outsourcing, immigrant labor, NAFTA, etc.) and the party that has been building up unsustainable spending is the Republicans.

Right wing radio needs to realize that their listeners are wising up to them. They need to get honest with themselves. They are losing credibility on a daily basis.

Rush, of course, is a moron. He fears the return of the Rockefeller Republicans. That would be Bloomberg not McCain. The real threat to the Regan Republicans is the Goldwater Republicans, presently in the form of Ron Paul.

They're ravaging him now, but as soon as he's the "candidate", it'll be a different tune.

No. Say it ain't so?

El Rushbo is tipping the hand of the unholy alliance of monopolistic broadcasting, the sponsors, and the party machinery?

Yeah. It's been UGLY. Real ugly. And downright strange programming - a weird skit night sort of effort today in which he was acting out a speech to a background of applause samples and multitracked boos and Rush-chants.
