Vintage Jon Stewart Footage Settles Conan-Colbert Dispute

With Mike Huckabee's surge in national prominence following his win in the Iowa caucuses, both Stephen Colbert and Conan O'Brien attempted to take credit for his newfound popularity, claiming they "made" him. Last night on "The Colbert Report," Jon Stewart dropped in to settle the score by claiming — with VHS footage from the erstwhile "Jon Stewart Show" — that he, in fact, had made Conan O'Brien, keeping victory within the Comedy Central family. But since Stewart was on MTV and Conan was on network, Conan actually gave Stewart a bump by appearing on his show. So Conan made Colbert, Stewart and Huckabee. Besides Conan's online videos (like everyone else's) actually play without stopping 10 times to buffer for 30 seconds UNLIKE COMEDY CENTRAL'S LAME-*SS VIDEO PLAYERS. Please Comedy Central, hire some tech people whose skills are not stuck in 1998.

I am also a big fan of both Stewart and Colbert. But I would like someone from the Writers' Guild to officially inform us if Stewart and Colbert are acting as scabs by running their shows. My understanding is they are not, as they are not using scab writers. However I would not watch the shows if the Writers' Guild stated officially that they are scabbing.

Also, I would appreciate it if the Writers' Guild informed us of whether any shows, aside from Letterman, are legitimate, and if so, which ones.
