In six years as a member of the Wal-Mart board of directors, between 1986 and 1992, Hillary Clinton remained silent as the world's largest retailer waged a major campaign against labor unions seeking to represent store workers.

Clinton has been endorsed for president by more than a dozen unions, according to her campaign Web site, which omits any reference to her role at Wal-Mart in its detailed biography of her.

BEWARE !!! Hillary's so-called 'Universal' Health Care Plan is to make it AGAINST THE LAW FOR ANYONE TO NOT BUY THEIR OWN HEALTH INSURANCE (LIKE AUTO INSURANCE)That's not health care....that's just a law (that's what mandate means) !!!!! Under Hillary's health care plan everyone who breaks her law and does not buy their own health coverage (if not offered through their job) would be fined and wages could be garnished. Also, everyone would have to prove that they already have health insurance (show an insurance policy) before they could get a new job if that new job does not offer coverage. If people could afford health care they would have it.To make it a law will just make people unable to afford the coverage afraid to go to the hospital when ill in fear of getting caught breaking the law (without coverage). TERRIBLE !!! DON'T BE FOOLED AMERICA !!!!!

And BO stood silent while political corruption and nepotism ran wild in the state of Illinois.

What's your point?

Never saw a union that did anyone any good. They do take your money every month, though. Pretty good at that.

Maybe we should stop talking about Hillary unless we specify which of her 40 different faces we are addressing. Hillary is the most prolific liar in the political arena. If her head was not empty maybe she could be honest with all of us because she is not honest with herself.

Of course morons will completely ignore her wal mart tour of duty on the board. Not doing anything when in a position to help, is a very loud and distinct statement.
She only cares about the capitalist circle in which she lives.

Go ahead, vote Hillary. You deserve it America.

We must, we sure do love to elect these kind of people time and time again.

Go to the website Wal Mart Watch. It has lots of articles and links to other websites talking about Clinton, Wal Mart's anti-union history, use of slave labor in third world countries, importing of dangerous products and selling them to Americans. And Hillary sat on that board for 6 years and took their money and did what? Tried to get a few more women in management. And was unsuccessful.

It has been proven time and again that a feminist approach must be one which stands up for the rights of all working people, men and women. When women are excluded from opportunity, everyone in the family suffers -- their sons as well as their daughters. When employees are denied the right to unionize, harassed, intimidated, threatened for doing so, that hurts all employees, women right alongside of the men.

Hillary knew exactly what she was doing. She was sucking up to one of the biggest companies in Arkansas, gaining political connections and money, and helping herself. Because ultimately that's all Bill and Hillary ever do: help themselves.

Vote Obama.

We certainly don't demonize Hillary Clinton for her high level involvement at WalMart at the time they were working constantly to undermine the wellbeing of workers.

It does serve, however, as an interesting contrast with Senator Obama's work on the streets of Chicago.

Yet another load of garbage masquerading as news. Give us a break. Hillary Clinton did what she could (as the first and only woman on the board) to improve conditions for women at Wal-Mart and backed their "Made in America" program among other things. She isn't responsible for every lousy thing Wal-Mart ever did and the hatchet job Brian Ross does on her for ABC must be one of the worst pieces of television journalism I've ever seen. Ross" logic is torturous: There was once a bad guy who did bad things at Wal-Mart. Hillary once served on the Wal-Mart board. Ergo: Hillary is responsible for all bad things at Wal-Mart. Are we seriously supposed to believe this crap?

What happened to Brian Ross anyway? The guy used to have some credibility. Now he only pokes his head out of the muck to slime someone every few months.

The sheer volume of nasty and unwarranted attacks on Senator Clinton and President Clinton in the past few weeks is unseemly and truly disgusting. The mainstream media are piling on the Clintons again (surprise, surprise) while Obama and the unbelievably wacky and out-of-touch GOP candidates get a pass. I'm sick and tired of everyone beating on the Clintons. I supported Edwards originally and I think Obama is a good man. But now I just want Hillary to win and win big. A big FU to all the corporate slime-merchants who are coordinating this all-out offensive on two people who have " for some unknown reason " dedicated their lives to public service.
Poor Obama has no idea what he"s in for if he does get elected I shudder to think what the right-wing sleaze machine will do to him. You can bet your ass it won"t be pretty. It will get real ugly " real fast. Anyone who thinks the Clintons are the reason for all the nastiness are in for a big surprise.

Fact Check: Hillary And Wal-Mart

ABC"s Good Morning America ran a piece on Hillary Clinton and Wal-Mart. Both the fact that Hillary Clinton served on Wal-Mart"s Board and Hillary"s criticism of Wal-Mart are well known and well established. This is more of the same political theater and the MSM trying to make news instead of reporting it.

As the first woman on Wal-Mart"s board, Hillary worked hard to make Wal-Mart a better corporate citizen. She is a strong supporter of organized labor and enjoys strong support from organized labor. The reason Hillary has been endorsed by unions representing six million Americans is because she knows that they have been essential to our nation's success.

Throughout her career, Hillary has stood with all workers as they exercised their right to organize and bargain collectively. She has said that if elected President, she will sign the Employee Free Choice Act, legislation she sponsored in the Senate, into law so that we can create an atmosphere where workers can choose to form a union free from employer coercion and bargain collectively. Hillary has actively opposed anti-collective bargaining provisions contained in the Department of Defense's proposed National Security Personnel System and has voted in favor of collective bargaining rights for TSA screeners.

Sitting on a board of a company and being paid for it... If one wished to remain on the board, it probably would not be a good idea to take issue with the CEO's positions or be a rabble rouser. She wasn't an elected official at the time, anyway!

corp fascism is here in america and hope and change is used to win elections. the rich do not give up their wealth without a fight.

the system is rigged to support the wealthy and reagan did a wonderful job of enhancing that system.

americans deserve hillary and jeb after hillary and then chelesea and then one of the bush twins.

in a republic the politicans and governement are only as good as the knowledge of the voters.

go hillary voters actually blieve your stance on change while you rack in the profits from wal mart as part of your past income.

union breaker and to think unions supported her. even our unions are part of the corp fascism in america. been there lived that as a union organizer.
