Rush Limbaugh Gropes Joy Behar

Rush Limbaugh may be dating 31-year old blonde Kathryn Rogers when he is in Florida, but last night in New York he let loose and had a 64-year old redhead on the brain: Joy Behar. On their respective shows this morning, both Regis Philbin and Joy Behar discussed the way Rush (whose escort for the evening was 82-year old Cindy Adams) greeted Joy at last night's screening of Bob Balaban's "Bernard and Doris."

Joy: "All of a sudden this humongous person comes up to me, from the left, a famous person -- big guy — and snuggles and nestles my neck. Hello, Joy! And gives me the big kiss....squeezed me to death also."

Regis had a different spin: "Joy Behar's face was flushed. She enjoyed it. She LOVED IT!

Joe Scarborough commented this morning that a Republican couldn’t be nominated without the blessing of Rush and James Dobson, which sounds pretty pathetic to me. On one side you have a gluten celebrity talker who has cloistered himself in his Palm Beach estate and the other a religious shrink who advises fathers to shower with there sons in order to compare penis size to demonstrate manliness, one the weirdest ideas I ever heard of.

Few of my conservative friends and family have even heard of James Dobson, whom I think plays to the religious fringe. I mentioned Dobson’s name to a very conservative friend of mine and his reply was “I’ve heard of him, he’s that nut in Colorado”.

Rush has a broader appeal, what blows my mind are the conservatives I know have little in common with him. My friends and family have not been married multiple times, respect their spouses, are not substance abusers, do not grope women, all of them practice some form of birth control, my conservative friends would not buy a $300.000 automobile even if they could afford one. Last but not least, I don’t know one conservative who vacations in the Dominican Republic alone, where child prostitution is rampant and takes a Viagra prescription written in their doctor’s name with them. I know one conservative couple who are not religious and do volunteer work with Habitat with Humanity, they spent their vacation last year in little village in South America on a Habitat project. Frankly I do not understand the fascination with this fool, he is not a conservative in any shape way or form, I do not fault Rush for making money, but his life style is as much a soap opera as the celebrities he’s so critical of. I remember when he mocked Jerry Garcia for drug addiction, while he was downing enough prescription painkillers to kill a horse. I'm not even sure a what a conservative is anymore, but these guys don’t fit the bill.
