Ann Coulter: I'll Campaign For Hillary If McCain Is The Nominee

Last night on "Hannity & Colmes," Ann Coulter made a striking announcement: she'll campaign for Hillary Clinton if John McCain is the Republican nominee. Earlier this week, the New York Observer's Jennifer Rubin reported that members of the conservative punditry were "beside themselves" over the thought of a McCain nomination, but Coulter's pronouncement is a new, and surprising, development. Watch her explain her rationale to Sean Hannity, while Alan Colmes can only sit back and laugh:

Ms. Coulter's remarks are usually very interesting, as is this latest one, but seldom do they pass the litmus test of reasoned thought. Her remarks, so far as I can discern, are designed to gain her notoriety, not legitimacy with thinking people. In other words, who Ms. Coulter does or does not endorse is of absolutely no concern to me.

Well, for what it's worth, I wanted Romney or Paul to win. Looks like it's McCain so I will vote for Hillary for president if she gets the nomination. I think she will solve the health care issue for 100% of the American people; something Obama flat out has said he will not do. McCain stabbed us in the back over and over and I just cannot reward him for this behavior. Plus, he may be a nut, I'm not sure. When I heard Coulter make the Hillary comment, I wasn't surprised. She isn't one of these knee jerk people who hate Hillary like at Fox and MSNBC.

Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Hannity….t­his is one big scam, folks. All orchestrated, and with the hoped-for media attention. A scam? Yes, because the RNC knows that in the end Limbaugh and Hannity will not tell voters to stay home, they’ll say, “Hold your noses and vote for McCain”. And the lemmings will. So, what’s going on here? Simple: The packaging of John McCain. Loudly proclaim he’s “too liberal”, “too moderate”, “too RINO” with the sole intent of thus making him for attractive, more palatable to the independents and moderates that the Repubs need to get to win any national election. When, in truth, where it really counts: McCain is a hawk, a NeoCon/PNACer, who’ll pour billlions into the defense industry. Just fine with the RNC. And, his economic/fiscal ideology is PURE REAGONOMICS! Just fine with the RNC. This is one orchestrated scam, folks…and I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes right out of the devilish playbook of Karl Rove. I smell a rat here, folks. It is possible that Senator Clinton is the best candidate. However, even though many may like the policies that Senator Clinton proposes, they should also consider her record, just as Senator Clinton insists.
