Hillary Clinton Crying

The advisor, retired Gen. Merrill A. "Tony" McPeak, said in a telephone interview that Obama has "real gravitas, not artificially created, focus-grouped, poll-directed, rehearsed gravitas."

He also said Obama "doesn't go on television and have crying fits; he isn't discovering his voice at the age of 60" -- references to Clinton's much-publicized show of emotion during the New Hampshire primary campaign and her speech after winning the contest in which she declared that she had "found my voice."

McPeak later retracted his remarks, and the Obama camp disassociated itself from them. [...]

An Obama campaign aide was on the line during the interview. Minutes later, McPeak called back to say he regretted his remarks and that he has "high regard" for Hillary Clinton.

He also expressed concern that "some of those loose-lips-will-sink-ships quotes will be the big story."

In an email, the Obama campaign said McPeak's words "crossed the line" and that Obama "strongly disagrees with these comments and apologizes on behalf of the campaign."

The sexism in his camp slips out, but at least the guy apologized.

Do the American people really want or need 8 more years of corruption and lies?

A vote for Clinton, is a vote for another Bush.

VOTE OBAMA 2008.

The Clinton machine will flatten Obama on super Tuesday. Obama, however, is doing Hillary a great service by not giving her a sail through primary season. Hillary needed to fine tune her campaign to be an effective contestant in November.

McCain's national election experience is running rough shot over Romney's money and organizational skill. We are poised for a McCain/Clinton showdown the outcome of which is dependent on Hillary. It is hers to lose as far as I am concerned now.

There should have been no apology for speaking the truth about HRC's "momentary weakness" in New Hampshire. That tactic may work against democratic rivals but the republicans will not be so merciful should another 'moment' present itself after the primaries. I think that Obama's aid was objecting to the fact that as a woman, Hillary's eye swell tactic was something Obama personally couldn't criticize for the sake of the party and the female vote. That is a situation that would not have occurred if Hillary was a male candidate. You can bet your life that Hillary's camp is well aware of the fact she has to be treated differently by male candidates.

I'm always amazed how the Obama supporters and staffers are so hurt and and angered when the Clinton campaign takes them to task and goes after Obama and his record just as they do to her. As far as hardball politics goes, the Clinton campaign has used a velvet glove. If Obama wins the nomination he's going to have to face the Repugs and they will go for the juggular. If his staffers and supporters cant handle Clinton, there is no hope for him against the Repugs! Kerry tried to play nice and couldnt even defend his own war veteran status and he got his ass kicked! The Clintons know how to play hardball politics and that just might be what is needed to win the White House.

No, he just sits there looking like a petulant child every time HRC answers a debate question. At any rate, she didn't cry.

I love how the Hillary supporters are blaming Obama for General McPeak's comments, yet these same Hillary supporters absolved her of any responsibility for the comments of Bill Shaheen, Bill Clinton, Bob Kerry and Bob Johnson.
Funny how this double standard thing works.

I suggest you take a step back and try to be objective in your criticism of Obama or his supporters. Some supporters do go overboard, and Obama was correct to apologize immediately. How long did it take Hillary's campaign to apologize for Bob Johnson's comments? I mean, at first Hillary's campaign defended Bob Johnson, remember?

Anyway....just try to be fair in your analyses, whether you are an Obama supporter or a Hillary supporter.

Lastly, anyone here posting that Obama does not have specific policy proposals is either intellectually lazy or just plain dishonest. Did any of you watch the last debate? How can you say Obama lacks ideas or policy proposals, when the entire debate was all about policies?

C'mon folks....we have to do better.

She did not cry and I am sick of hearing that she did. She was tired and discouraged, but not one tear fell down her face. She looked tired but she didn't even have tears in her eyes.
Changing the subject, would someone please tell me (preferably a Republican) why any middle class citizen would be a Republican.
It's a rich man's game and as things are privatized, greed sets in and the prices skyrocket. They don't give a damn about you unless you are rich. This country has headed toward fascism under Bush. What is the attraction?

unless I missed something in the posts, you guys are missing the coded message in this "supporter's" remark. This is about Hillary's cryfest coming up on Hallmark channel she advertised at the debate.

I'm a obama supporter but I don't like the tactics of the obama campaign for the last couple days. You Hillary supporter said Obama couldn't fight hard to beat the repug's, this is what you get, but this "he's just as much of a politician" as she is, won't work though. You guys are such hypocrites.

this sucks.... let try and keep young people out of political system even longer, cause we don't know any better.

I guess you may just win, something

A crying fit? Talk about misrepresentation. Brittany Spears has crying fits. The most you can say about that Hillary moment is her voice got quieter and she appeared to be misty. The whole thing was a non-event.

Obama doesn't cry... he just blames racism when he loses. Pffft. Sooner or later -hopefully sooner- people we realize he's just another politician.
