She may play quintessential English women to perfection, but Kristin Scott Thomas does not have national-treasure status in this country. For starters she's rarely done British TV, which means we don't get to see enough of her. Secondly, she has lived in Paris since she was 19 and considers herself French. Thirdly, she has a reputation for being as posh and chilly as a draughty stately home.

Which is all rather unfair, as she is a fine and versatile British actress and rather good fun to boot. This morning she has pitched up for the Observer shoot in a Paris hotel without the entourage typically surrounding high-maintenance actresses.

'Are you sure I don't look like a barrage balloon?' she says, dubiously smoothing down the gorgeous but undeniably flouncy dress from Dior that the fashion team has picked out for her.

All this to publicise a film in which, to be honest, she doesn't have the biggest part. The Other Boleyn Girl features not one, but two young Hollywood stars - Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman - who play the Boleyn sisters.

A memorable scene from 4 Weddings and a Funeral is when Fiona tell Charles that she always loved him while lighting a cigarette and blinking back tears. Powerful, subtle and devasting. A great movie and a wonderful actress we haven't seen enough of.

Jezza loves Kirstin!

(You've got to be a fan of a certain BBC Two show to get the reference.)

So, where's the interview?

This website - the HuffPo website - is a real mess! You guys need some help to improve it. There's no way to find this article and the Scott Thomas interveiw and read it, and yet you name the post "An onterveiw with...". Lame! I'm sure you have the budget to pay at least a semi-competant web-developer and web-designer and make your site at least half user-friendly!
