Bet Kos was sitting in his boy throne sucking off FOX all day Sunday.

Can anyone explain why all ads (with the exception of Obama's) all won't play?? They all say: "We're sorry, this video is no longer available".

Considering the cost of a Superbowl ad you'd think the advertisers would want as many people as possible to actually see the ad!

No none has mentioned the absence of any climate fight related ads. To the contrary even, I saw a lot of ads that went against the grain of where we should be heading.

With that in mind, I put together an environmental scorecard for the Super Bowl 2008 Scorecard, to be viewed on my green blog at:

I thought they all pretty much sucked. Not funny, not inventive, not original or imaginative. The screaming squirrel was perhaps the best out of the bunch, but really they were very poor as a lot.

The Talking Stain ad was very clever and is the only one that made me LOL.

As for the game, Brady and Moss might have been physically on the field, but mentally they were clearly somewhere else. Ya snooze, ya lose...

to me the doritos ad with the giant mouse was the best followed by the planters cashews with the sexy unibrow

I liked the one with the dalmation and the Clydesdale working out with the Rocky Theme.

The game was great but I wonder what is happening to this country when the advertising is as celebrated as the game.

Advertising is the most sinister and manipulative force on our culture today. It's influence has an almost religious impact as it defines our culture's values by what it consumes. It is used to elect our presidents, control our diets and define our happiness.

By continually creating needs that didn't exist before, advertising drives consumption ever upward. We pay for it by spending beyond our means, global warming and waging wars to slake our thirst for oil.

I see no cure in sight, as advertising is itself part of the consumption cycle, but we should have the dignity to ignore it rather than celebrate it.

At least we were spared the usual commercials for boner pills.

I really liked the Coke floating balloons ad. Very clever, and Charlie Brown wins in the end...kind of like the game, really. Congrats, Giants!

And oddly, it did not compel me to drink more Coke.

Not clever or interesting at all, in fact they were stupid. Hire a new bunch of ad execs!

For the most part the ads were pathetic. Advertisers have learned you don't have to be particularly subtle or sophisticated when selling to the American public. Americans will by anything. Mencken was right "no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." A nation of lemmings.

The Doritos one with the guy trying to catch a mouse was the most clever, IMHO. The fact that it was created by a private individual as part of a contest, and not an ad agency, is probably why it's not being touted.

After that, the Careerbuilders were pretty good. Notice how the job placement sites have the best ads these days?

Sobe's was somewhat riveting, in a train-wreck kindda way. Those lizards were kindda cool for the first 15-20 seconds, tho. Where the hell did this company get so much money? We're obviously overpaying.

Bud light ads are often clever (unlike the wretchedly ridiculous Coors light ones where they pull quotes from coaches' press conferences), but last night's were somewhat uneven. I mean, how many times can you show a guy trying to sneak in a few minutes of game watching with his buddies? How selfish are these women and how ball-less are the men if this is their existence?

The Bud "special powers" one? Dumb. And Will Ferrell? Double Dumb.

Pepsi was abysmal, all the way around. Sorry. The most hyped-yet least interesting 30 seconds of the evening was watching Timberlake getting drug around. It wasn't even clever, although I admit he pulled off the ending pretty well.

And I still hate Bill Frist, and always will. No way of humanizing that guy - and no way I buy any product who pays him to sell it.

Which one has the guy who was cleaning the dog for his wife? Some jewelry one I think? Anyway, that one just plain tried too hard. Not funny.

Talk about trying too hard... E-trade with the creepy baby lips. That whole theme has just been overplayed ever since Look Who's Talking. A couple of clever moments, but the urp at the end was disgusting and unnecessary.
