Hillary Cries In Conneticut

The Swamp reports:

Sen. Hillary Clinton teared up this morning at an event at the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked while in law school in the early 1970s.

Penn Rhodeen, who was introducing Clinton, began to choke up, leading Clinton's eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye. At the time, Rhodeen was saying how proud he was that sheepskin-coat, bell-bottom-wearing young woman he met in 1972 was now running for president.

"Well, I said I would not tear up; already we're not exactly on the path," Clinton said with emotion after the introduction.

USA Today adds:

At the Yale Child Study Center where Clinton once worked, she was introduced by her former boss Penn Rhodeen before a roundtable on the difficulties faced by working mothers. "You were all in purple," Rhodeen said of their first meeting, "from your sheepskin coat to your bell-bottoms. You looked wonderful and so 1972."

Clinton, who today was wearing a yellow and black ensemble, welled up at Rhodeen's reference to "our magnificent Hillary."

"I said I would not tear up today," Clinton remarked. Kathy writes that the senator blinked back the evidence with a smile. [...]

Kathy tells us that this morning's moment had a different feel: "She wasn't sad. Just moved by a nice tribute."

If this article doesn't prove there's no equality in reporting, nothing does.
Who cares what she was wearing? Does it matter?
You never read, "John McCain, clad in a dapper gray pinstripe with blue tie, stated his position on the war."
Or, "Mitt Romney, wearing a beige sweater vest over a light green button-down shirt, spoke on the economy."

So many are saying, "shame on Hufflepuff" for this article. It's a REPORT! And it's surely news. I think the reason that people are "ashamed" of Huffington Post is because they know Hillary's action is one that will be judged and are more than a little concerned by it. And rather than point a finger at their own candidate for her own actions, they chose to divert blame.

This is what is stunning...women who arrogantly excuse their own specious behavior in this campaign because purportedly men have always behaved this way. Yet they want to also make the argument that women are somehow better than men??? Why should I want to vote for a woman who is as unauthentic as the man currently in the White House?... I believe the women supporting Hillary Clinton have behaved atrociously...you cannot criticize behavior of men while sanctioning that same behavior in a woman simply because she is a woman! As Oprah says, "I am a woman, but I am a free woman" and as such there is nothing on this earth that would make me ever vote for Hillary Clinton. Enough is Enough!

Perhaps we could just give her an Oscar nomination. I can't imagine that being told she is "magnificent" is at the same emotional level as 9-11 and her husbands illness. Undoubtedly she is as tired as all the other candidates but will she cry when she bombs Iran and will that make a difference, when her husband's pet project NAFTA completely guts this country as she stands by her man, while troops die for a misguided foreign policy and sheer greed? Just some honesty and clear-headedness, that's all we want to see. Her tears will not make up for the lack of those qualities. She's old news in an attempt at a new package - different gender but same old Clinton, the Clinton that Republican colleagues loved because he was their man while parading as a Democrat.

Ms. Clinton will no doubt move America closer to the day of a Female President.

But, only Closer, this time around...

Now it's just a CHEAP trick. No problem being human...but now she's doing it because it gets her votes.

That just disgusts me. Can't wait to go to the polls and vote Obama.

So women are more likely to cry and men are more likely to get coronary heart disease.
What's the problem here?

Why didn't she cry for America's warriors when she sent them to die in the desert?

Why does she only cry on election eve's?

Fake tears sold in NH, but this dung doesn't float in my state.
