Hillary Cries In Conneticut

The Swamp reports:

Sen. Hillary Clinton teared up this morning at an event at the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked while in law school in the early 1970s.

Penn Rhodeen, who was introducing Clinton, began to choke up, leading Clinton's eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye. At the time, Rhodeen was saying how proud he was that sheepskin-coat, bell-bottom-wearing young woman he met in 1972 was now running for president.

"Well, I said I would not tear up; already we're not exactly on the path," Clinton said with emotion after the introduction.

USA Today adds:

At the Yale Child Study Center where Clinton once worked, she was introduced by her former boss Penn Rhodeen before a roundtable on the difficulties faced by working mothers. "You were all in purple," Rhodeen said of their first meeting, "from your sheepskin coat to your bell-bottoms. You looked wonderful and so 1972."

Clinton, who today was wearing a yellow and black ensemble, welled up at Rhodeen's reference to "our magnificent Hillary."

"I said I would not tear up today," Clinton remarked. Kathy writes that the senator blinked back the evidence with a smile. [...]

Kathy tells us that this morning's moment had a different feel: "She wasn't sad. Just moved by a nice tribute."

So what wrong with a little emotion just because someone crys their not fit for the white house? Take a look at the shit pile this country is in makes anyone want to cry, maybe its about time someone with real emotion was at the helm, someone that cared that bombs are killing babies and civilians and that we are dropping them because a handful of power hunger asses want to shape the world according to how they think it should be.

It takes a lot of strength to tear up like that and go on. Hillary just got another point with me. I'm a tough old bat, too, and I'm beginning to have a sort of grudging admiration for Hillary. Still don't plan to vote for her, unless the matchup is against Huckabee or Romney, but I do admire her.

Well of course she's close to tears. She's probably getting 3 - 4 hours sleep a night, and visiting 4 states a day, 7 days a week. Campaigning for President is unbelievably grueling - so she gets a little emotional - who can blame her. If that was my life I would be pyschotic by now.

In other headlines, Romney winced, McCain belched, Huckabee scratched an itch and Obama frowned.

Videotape at 11:00.

You pathetic, distracted, infantile pinheads...

Did the definition of cry recently change?

Can one cry without tears?

nobody dislikes Hillary more than me.
i think Billary should be put out of their political misery, and spend their life making speeches.
But, this cry did seem to be more genuine. of course, we dont know for a fact.
But the situations was more possible.
although the timing is odd.
it does seem liek she wants to cry, to rally women around her, after she gets attacked for it.
although its not for crying, it is for being phony. but a good lie never stopped a Clinton

If that bumble-bee outfit doesn't make her cry, nothing else should. WTF is up with it, it's like the third time in a week that I've seen her in it.

Spongebob would be soooo jealous..

What a load of crap. Everything both of the Clintons do is a calculated political move. It's just like the first time she cried the day after there was buzz about her being too impersonal. This is exactly the kind of politics that Obama supporters are tired of.

I think that a Hillary Clinton Administration would be just like a Bush Administration, except with liberal policies. It would not be void of the lies, deception and political deals that we've become so accustomed to.

Hello, everybody!

Is coverage of the "huge" Obama/Oprah-Kennedy rally in Los Angeles this past weekend still fresh in your minds?

Then ... take a look at some REAL photos of the event @:

Oh please! I saw this, she said it but she was fine! Stop making an issue out of this. Huffpost is turning a lot of its readers with this one-sided posts.

Please, please Huffpo...

You are embarassing thinking progressives everywhere. Blatant bias is not a community service. Gratuitous nastiness is not part of a serious comittment to advancing the human condition.

Did any of your commentators sit and watch Senator Clinton's town meeting broadcast tonight? Do you have specific issues with her stance on the dozens of topics she delved into?

It would be extemely difficult to disagree with anything Obama said today because he said nothing substantial. He performed at rock concerts. Exciting and fun, yes. Helpful, no.

Hopefully all you huffpo bloggers will see through this anti-Hillary manipulation soon. And that is not a criticism of Obama. But if he's so great, why does huffpo insist on beating down Hillary all the time, instead of just focusing on how great he is. I think it could just create bad karma for him--we'll see very soon I guess.

Like Bill Maher said tonight on Larry King for all the Hillary haters it's what's wrong with you instead of what's wrong with her!

The same people that hate her for standing by Bill idolized Jackie Kennedy for standing by JFK!
