Now a promo pamphlet featuring actress Kirstie Alley from last September has surfaced. Two things come to mind right away: one, that cracks seem to be appearing the previously formidable Scientology wall of silence. The second, for now, is Kirstie Alley is a lot nuttier than previously thought.

Alley says in the brochure that getting into the top echelon of Scientology, called Flag, changed her whole viewpoint on people. Yes, people, Like us. Those kinds of people.

Prior to that, she says, "You know, I liked animals more than people! OK, I liked people -- certain people, but the idea of 'mankind' -- it really irritated me! ... Now I have definite affinity for mankind and I'm up taking genuine responsibility for mankind."

Alley, whose career has been mostly a muddle since Cheers went off the air in the 1990s, is described in the piece as a "Solo NOTS Auditor, Diamond Meritorious of the IAS and a founding member of the Super Expansion Project."

What does all that mean?

Well, Solo Nots Auditor is a high level Scientologist who spends several hours a day, according to their glossary, exorcising "body thetans" or aliens who are stuck to their bodies. Diamond Meritorious is more interesting. This means Alley has donated a staggering $5 million to the International Association of Scientology.

Well, well, surprise surprise, I have seen a verifiable fact from a Scientologist posting.
Jesse Prince was indeed arrested on a charge relating to drugs. Unfortunately for LookDontListen he was aquitted. In court records it is made clear that Jesse Prince was befriended by a Scientologist acting undercover who planted a marihuana plant in Prince's garden. Then the police recieved an anonymous phone call.

Question: Who are all these people who admit to being paid to attack Scientology? Who is paying them? Do you have his telephone number?I do it joyfully for nothing but am a little broke at the moment.

The facts are that the anti-Scientologists are the dirtiest players around.

- They publish private financial information about hundreds of Scientologists.

- They publish maps to Scientologists' homes. You can guess their motivations for that!

- They list home and business addresses of hundreds of Scientologists, endangering children and families.

- They list phone numbers of Scientology parishioners, leading to harassment calls at all hours.

- They post Scientologists' email addresses, knowing spammers will harvest them and spam Scientologists.

- They list businesses owned or operated by Scientologists with (of course) unsupported allegations of crime, hoping to cost those companies business and income.

- They particularly attack large donors to Scientology, hoping to reduce their income and lower their donations.

- They have been arrested for charges from interfering with another's religious practice (Keith Henson) to drug-dealing (Jessie Prince)

- They have lost lawsuits in the millions of dollars for kidnapping and related coercion (Cult Awareness Network).

- Many admit they are paid to attack Scientology. They're on a merit incentive system. (by Bob Minton, et al.)

Want some GREAT facts about who these birds really are, beneath their profanity and fact-free hot air?

Go to www.religiousfreedomwatch.org and just play around in the links on the left-hand column.

Some of these critics sound "crazier'n an outhouse owl," to use an old expression.

All the attempted demonizing nonsense just doesn't hold water. In non-Nazi countries (Germany excluded), no agency is taking any action against Scientology. And even in Germany, we have now won some 50 cases against persecution.

Stop and think. Don't you think - if one-tenth of the Internet inmates who yap about Scientology had one ounce of validity - that 14 kinds of local, state, federal and international agencies would be doing something??

Your angry allegations are just...well...anger.

Take a good look, and you'll probably find that your upset is really aimed at something in +your +own +life that you need to responsibly handle.

Bitching about Scientology sure isn't making you any cheerier.

Lungfish, if you know of Scientology murders, then why don't you report it. Oh, let me guess, COS is too powerful and will sue the President of the U.S. if that were to happen? Scientology has committed murder, yet the media doesn't know? We can't even keep torture in other countries a secret, yet we can keep human slaves and murder and all this other nonsense a secret? Do you realize how paranoid and silly these accusations are? This is why COS keeps growing. People read this stuff on the web and laugh at it because it's so outlandish. Then they buy a book at the store, find it interesting, then take a course. The story ends with them achieving their goals in life and being HAPPY. Speaking of happy, I need to go to sleep. Although many of you sound like mean hearted people, I still wish you all well and hope you have a good day tomorrow.

So Shag 11 just gave it away by saying "You brag about your religion ("we keep to our own") not bothering others, but that's what cults do. Jonestown people kept to themselves also."

So basically, you're admitting that keeping to our own is not good enough either. I should do what you tell me to do. How about this website. Am I allowed to be here? Who should I vote for, you tell me because obviously according to the anti-Scientology crowd, people shouldn't be allowed to make their decisions. I can't give my money to whom I want. That's interesting because the last time I checked, we're supposed to be a democracy. Perhaps I should get on Prozac and be another zombie and start spewing hatred toward religions and be follower as well. Unfortunately, in Scientology, we make our own decisions and are free to think for ourselves. And yes, that includes going on websites. Oh wait, I forgot that's also supposed to be forbidden right? It's all so ridiculous.

As for supposed past mistakes, I'll take our sins over any other religion any time. And if anyone on this site even think that our past comes close to comparing to others, then I ask you all to please read up on history and fight a fight worth fighting. One more thing, notice how Scientologists don't knock on your door and bother you? It's because we keep to our own and push each other to do better. We don't bother the rest of you. If you go back, you'll notice that even Tom Cruise has never actually brought up our church. He gets ASKED by interviewers, and he answers. So you have a problem with someone actually stating how they feel, as compared to other actors and politicians who tell you what you want to hear? You prefer cookie cutter answers? My goodness, is that how "normal" people operate? I think I'll stick to being a "weird" Scientologist thank you.

With all due respect, this whole thing about intimidating those who critique our church, suing people,etc...that's quite unoriginal. Scientology is attacked every single day in the news, on websites, on blogs, on late shows...And I haven't heard of any lawsuits. Do you remember Jon Stewart,Keith Olbermann or O'Reilly getting sued for mocking our beliefs? Yeah, I didn't think so. You're reduced to lies that are spread on the internet because you have no game. You need something to fight. Next year, you'll be fighting something else.

I realize you all believe you're changing the world, but you're not. You keep talking about aliens. Only problem with that, is that neither I or any Scientologist I know believes in aliens. You see, there are concepts called "games" & "mock ups" in our religion that I won't bother going into, point being you really should try learning things on your own.

Scientology is mocked by the media every single day. You don't really think you're shocking anyone do you? COS keeps working because the Tech works, plain and simple. You see, there is a fundamental problem with comments from users like yourselves who believe you are swaying people away from Scientology, which is that humans don't do what bloggers tell them to do. They make decisions based on people they trust. People see me, they see how happy I am with my family and business, and they want the same thing-happiness.

As for some of our perceived "weird" beliefs, it's interesting how Scientologists must certainly take everything they read as fact, where as Christians are allowed to believe what they want, and leave out the "weird" parts of the Bible. Huh....

So why is everyone so focused on Scientology? Why does Scientology get more attention than Christianity, Judaism and Islam even though we're such a small and young religion? There are two reasons for this.

Number one, because deep down inside, bloggers and the media are interested in Scientology and want to know why we are so successful in our relationships, family and business but because most humans are so depressed and miserable, they'd rather to just make hate filled comments because they can't understand happiness.

The second reason you mock Scientology is because it is politically correct. You wouldn't dare mock, say Islam, which one could argue has a little more impact on the world than Scientology, because that wouldn't be pc. Or Drugs, War, or Poverty because that would be difficult. But that's okay, I understand that it's scary to confront situations that's aren't easy.

I've always considered the part of me that prefers animals over mankind as the most evolved part. Nonetheless, it's saddening to see how desperately some people need to believe in something, anything, to the tune of 5 million dollars. There's been so much lately to remind us of the downside of fame and wealth. On the other hand: A Thetan in my vacuum cleaner canister would explain so very much. Imagine what that money could do elsewhere.

I was audited in the 1970s when I went in for a "job interview" with the "Church". Their E-meter reported me as Clear. The Groveling Acolyte was so flabbergasted that he called in his Grand Poobah who told me the equipment must be malfunctioning. He gave me a copy of Diuretics to read, but all it did was to make me so convulsed with laughter that I almost passed out from lack of oxygen.

When I was an impressionable 20-something-year old in the 70's, I visited the Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles, home of Scientology.
Even back then I thought their jibber-jabber was too nutty to take seriously. I went on to take the est training, which also was nutty but not AS nutty.
Years later, I made friends with Bill and Kay Church who founded Church's Fried Chicken. They were new Scientologists and tried so hard to induct me it ruined our friendship. It also ruined their chicken empire--they sold it off for chicken feed and probably still regret it to this day.

I’VE BEEN IN SCIENTOLOGY FOR 50 YEARS
and it cured my schizophrenia. Now I only have a split-personality but at least I agree with myself. The reason why I left, in 2007 and again yesterday-twice, is because they keep refering it to as a religion.
On Sundays I’m too busy to go to ‘church’ because I’m busy writing my next sci-fi novel about how the universe evolved from a big bang, and my partner, thats me, is all day in the dungeon overfeeding volunteers and tickling them. with soft cushions.
But we are still expected to turn up for ‘altering’.
I wouldn’t mind so much but I did Ronnie a favour by introducing him to drugs, and in a previous life I piloted the spaceship for him when he was dying from a hangover. And it wasn’t him who found out about Xenu it was me. Let me make a correction: it all happened 65 millions years ago and not 75 or 79 or what anybody says. I’m tired of all the lies and critisisms, and so am I. Scientology is not a religion it’s a way of strife.

I continue to be amazed by the dumping on Scientology as if it's silly practices are any worse than the silliness of Christianity or Judaism, etc. Get over yourselves. Any and all religions are cults and useless to the world.

So Kristy Alley and Tom Cruise are responsible for mankind. And I thought it was Bush.
