Andrew Shue! 'Melrose Place' Hottie Turned Web Entrepreneur Stumps For Obama

Andrew Shue, best known as heartthrob Billy Campbell from "Melrose Place," has resurfaced as a backer of Barack Obama. Shue, now 40, spent Super Tuesday morning on MSNBC voicing his support, looking exactly the same as he did 15 years ago. The Dartmouth grad and younger brother of actress Elisabeth Shue is the cofounder of a social network for moms, cafemom.com. He is also a friend of the Clintons, and is nonetheless ardently for Obama, saying in part, "We will change the face of America if we elect Barack Obama."

Did he actually break into an expression? He never had any facial expressions on Melrose place. Almost like his face was paralyzed - maybe the worst actor since Tab Hunter.

He ages well. I used to have a crush on his sister. You can fele the movement towards a new generation of leadership. It's time now. Look at the transformational technology companies, Microsoft, Sun, Oracle, Yahoo, Googgle, You Tube, Facebook, MySpace, all started by people without a lot of experience. Just smarts, tenacity, faith, vision, hope and hard work. Those leaders surrounded themselves with talent and wisdom and grew something big just from an idea.

I saw this guy speak on Scarborough this morning. He was so intelligent and compelling that Joe had to just shut up. Every time Joe tried to lead him into a trap, the guy hit back with concepts so lofty you could actually hear the wind rush out of Scarborough's hot air ballon. He finally just said, "thanks for coming in" and rushed him off the set.

Way to go Andrew! Hope we get to see more of you.

Wow, Andrew Shue has made one of the best cases for Obama I've heard from anyone. He's a very bright and passionate guy. Incidentally, dude ages incredibly well too.
