Polls are closing, and everyone's winning their home states! Unless you're one of those "old-school" types that insists on pointing out that Hillary Clinton is actually from Illinois, because after the polls closed and 100% of everyone named Obama was polled, the state went to Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton is the projected winner of one of her other home states, Arkansas, along with Mike Huckabee. Also, Mitt Romney won himself a gold medal in Massachusetts, where he beat John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Eli Manning.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton was initially named the winner of Oklahoma, but just after 100% of Washington DC-based Huffington Post politics editors were polled on what it is about Oklahoma that makes Clinton so appealing (we can project that we simply have no idea), NBC News briefly retracted their projection. Then, minutes later, Oklahoma went back on the board for Clinton. So, thanks for the drama, Oklahoma! Also, Clinton has been projected as the winner of Tennessee.
John McCain has also been named the projected winner of Connecticut, where he is beating Romney even without the help of Mike Huckabee. That's not the case in Georgia, however: Huckabee and McCain have been trading the lead back and forth since polls closed. In states where polls have closed, the rest of the results are too close to call. All of the current projected winners have lined up with the results of the initial exit polls.
