Chelsea Clinton Calls 'View' Ladies, They Imitate Her Breathy Voice

Former and potential first daughter Chelsea Clinton worked the phones yesterday by calling three of four cohosts on The View. On Wednesday morning's show Whoopi said she voted for Hillary, and then Joy, Whoopi and Sherri recounted their phones ringing after Tuesday's show. Then, in quiet, dippy voices each relived her conversation with Chelsea. "Hi [pause], this is Chelsea Clinton..." Apparently the Clintons know Elisabeth Hasslebeck is a lost cause, as she lamented not getting a call.

There's something kackly about the show that is quite irritating, like game shows and soap operas. Who wastes their life watching other people do stuff?

I don't get what everyone is so mad about. I didn't think they made fun of Chelsea at all. It was a pinch interesting that she called three of them within a short time, but from the headline I though they would make her sound like Marilyn Monroe or something. They sounded like they were trying to sound young.

I can't help but agree with many commentors here that HuffPo has gone "cuckoo for Obama Puffs", but I still think it beats the pants off of so much of the MSM. When this election is over, HuffPo will go back to the real threat to America; what will be the remains of the Republicans in Congress (unless the Democratic Party pulls it's typical "snapping defeat from the jaws of victory" routine). The fact that so many of us, for Obama or Hillary, are on here discussing the candidates, is (usually) a healthy, positive thing.

Chelsea Clinton is a lovely, dignified young woman. The women on The View, not so much. They should stick to their regular routine - parroting Republican talking points, pondering the flatness of the 6000-year-old earth, or discussing the social significance of Britney Spears's self-indulgence. Only Joy Behar keeps a shred of dignity; Barbara Walters, none.

This is getting out of hand! Huffingtonpost is the first site that I look at everyday to get what I thought was a liberal view point of current politics. Now, it has turned into an Obama website. I still don't know who I want to vote for and I want to visit this site (which I trust) to give me a balanced view of Democratic politics. It is starting to seem like every article is nothing but an Obama commercial. Where else should I look for an equal Democratic presentation on the Web. I used to think that Huffpo was that site. Not anymore.
