Kos: A Huge Night For Obama

Obama has, at this point, won 11 states, of 22 in play. Worst-case scenario, he's already won half. If he picks up Alaska, which I suspect he will, he wins the battle of the states.

California is looking like it might head SUSA's way, so that'll be good news for Hillary. But the rest of the night is bleak. She didn't exceed expectations anywhere. She lost states she led big in just a few weeks ago. She's hurting for money. The calendar up ahead is tailor made for Obama. The momentum is there.

Jane Hamsher's blind allegiance to all things Hillary undermines her credibility repeatedly (her assessment of Hillary's "victory" on Tuesday is shot full of holes by the events that have followed including Hillary's drying up contributions).

Still, since there are Obama slanted bloggers here too, I think it's only fair for her to be blogging here for Hillary.

It's just that, whichever side you're on, when you slant reality too far towards your candidate, believability slides away.

Jane Hamsher gave the night to Clinton before the day broke.

Jane Hamsher says Obama's loss in California is devastating, which I don't understand at all. As we all know, half of California's votes were "early voting" before Obama began to surge, etc. etc.

Plus, California (where I live and support Obama, despite being a baby boomer mother of two) is reliably Democratic anyway. Seems to me we should be looking at who won the so-called red states if we're thinking about November.

Obviously it would've been great for Obama if he'd won California. But I'm not seeing where coming in 12 points behind (or whatever it is now) is "devastating."

This is pretty funny. Hillary stuck it to Kennedy and Obama in Mass. The big ole surge that was suppose to swamp her in CA turned out to be false rumors.

And Obama is spinning like mad today.

I say she won Missouri, too. After all, he claimed he won in Nevada when he got more delegates. Well, guess what. She got more delegates in MO.

Last night was a huge victory for Obama, as he showed he can win in the heartland states. Lets face it - New York and California are gimme states to whoever wins the Democratic Primary. But, even with those biggies, you have to win the some of the heartland to win the PResidency. Obama showed he can do that. Hillary - no way. Last night proved that she is unelecabtle, and that Obama is the only real choice for 2008.

OBAMA - OH BABY! 2008

Very cute HuffPo, you post an out of date election night observation as if it was breaking news...

Clinton does not keep up or exceed any expectations. In ALL cases her wins are less than predicted, including in California. Again, she looses support and Obama gains support. She thought that it was a cake walk, getting irritated at Obama in the early states-pulling our some ugly stuff, her old Rovian politics. It did not work. She wakes up today realizing that she is going to have to earn in NOW. Her 'experience' issue is dead. She is going to have to get a new one. My guess is that it will be attack attack attack.

Obama exceeds all expectations, including in CA. He is looking at uniting the entire country and is well on his way. He has adpadted to the Clintons style of politics and will prevail. He knows that we have all gotten past the divisions of the past.

I am glad that the process continues to the rest of the states and was not decided in any way last night. All states should be able to participate in the Primary process. No one should be crowned, they should have to earn it-state by state. This race will ignite the rest of the states as they walk up today and find out that THEIR votes will count.

Obama is the answer to what these United States of America needs.

Its going to be great to watch how he handles the rest of the nation.

Fired Up, Ready TO Go

Obama 2008
