Obama Strategy Memo Accidentally Sent To Reporter

Barack Obama's campaign is forecasting that the Democratic presidential race will remain deadlocked after the primaries end, and the outcome may depend on a fight over whether delegations from Florida and Michigan are counted.

By the time the last primary is held June 7, Obama's advisers project he will have 1,806 delegates to 1,789 for New York Senator Hillary Clinton, according to a document outlining the scenario that was inadvertently attached to a release on delegate counts from yesterday's Super Tuesday primaries.

I think you SHOULD DEBATE her Barack. We can avoid a draw or a debate fight. Collegiate debate rules conducted by a true debate moderator. You have to only prep for her with the ground rules that you will do your best to not make her cry. But at the very least, the first debate should begin with a presentation from both candidates. You both start with a case presentation, 15min a piece, then proceed to topics , 1 topic picked by each candidate, then 5-8 topic questions. Why not.

The news about Hillary Clinton donating $5 million of her own money to her presidential bid struck me as odd.

How was it that someone of once modest means who claimed to have worked tirelessly for 35 years (“fighting for YOU!”) in the notoriously badly-paid public sector had become so wealthy?

Sure there’s been some financial scandals.

And as the late Sen. Everett Dirksen used to say, “A million here, a million there—it adds up to real money.”

But why focus on the negative?

Then, suddenly, a tune entered my head and I thought, maybe if I offered a tailored version of it to the Clinton campaign, they’d use it to replace that awful Celine Dion song that used to be Hillary’s campaign anthem.

And maybe they’d give me some of that moolah.

I wouldn’t ask what account at Clintons, Inc. it came from, or which lobbyist forked it over.

(I’m sure in a gesture of sheer generosity—why think evil of people, K Street lawyers have hearts too, no? Wasn't it those nice medical insurance lobbyists who hired that couple, Harry and Louise?)

I'm with you on this one, the Obama campaign is extraordinarily disciplined and would not make a slip like this. However I do think that Hillary will fade much like Rudy did waiting for Florida. Hillary waiting for Texas is a flawed strategy, I think the party would be calling for unity long before Texas and anyway her numbers will not hold up in Texas. Obama splits Texas, Hillary wins the popular vote in Texas so what, they get the same amount of delegates.

Several sources told me the ballot boxes spent the night at the home of Rio Arriba County Democratic Party Chair Theresa Martinez, whose state-lawmaker husband, Sen. Richard Martinez, endorsed Hillary Clinton. But Richard Martinez told Santa Fe New Mexican reporter Kate Nash that the boxes actually spent the night in the homes of three polling-place managers. He gave Nash no explanation for why the results from those ballots weren’t reported to the state party last night and why they were instead kept overnight in officials’ homes.

“The site managers locked them and they kept them and they took them to my wife this morning,” Nash quoted Richard Martinez as saying.

Nothing good happens to any candidate that runs out of money, now let's put the pressure on Hillary. She cannot afford to pay her staff and they are going unpaid, now here is the new angle. Obama has to come out and declare that we plan to run Senator Claire McCaskill for VP.

If John Kerry had carried Missouri he would have won the general election. This is the best of two worlds, Barack Obama wins and we will have a woman president in 8 years from now in Senator Claire McCaskill.

Time to turn the pressure on, Hillary choose her VP Sen Evan Byah of Indiana, now it is time for us to choose ours.

Hillary, if you can't run a campaign, how the hell will you run a country, you raised way over $100m more than everyone else and you run out of money.
