Oreilly Ignore Fox News

Thinkprogress.org:

Calling into Fox and Friends this morning, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly discussed the prospect of Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) potentially debating on Fox News. O'Reilly said he expects "both Obama and Hillary Clinton to be respectful to the Fox News Channel." "If you dodge us, it is at your peril," he added.

O'Reilly also claimed that Fox "has treated both candidates fairly," apparently forgetting the network's pushing of the false madrassa story.

I agree with Obama. He should stay at least 3 miles away from any Fox anchorman.

Not because they're going to lie about him, bring up the race issue or just pull their ordinary bullsh!t stunts. But because I think Barrack would knock the sh!t out of the Fox pundit who tries it on him.

Obama doesn't want to go on FOX because they might not give him a pass like Wolf Blitzer or the NBC/NSNBC crew. Wolf gave Obama a pass on his deceitful answer when Wolf asked him who Tony Rezko was. Obama lied and said he did 5 hours of legal work involving him for his law firm. Obama and Rezko have a 17 year relationship and Rezko helped Obama and his wife buy their dream house in Chicago, and Rezko was Obamas biggest fundraiser until he got busted by the Feds. The Rezko trial begins in March, should be interesting because he is in jail and might want to play "Lets Make a Deal" with Fitzgerald, the same guy that got "Scooter" libby

Frankly doubt that even if the Rezko trial ends in a "Lets Make a Deal" resolution that Obama would be involved in that "Lets Make a Deal." However, I do think that somewhere along the line the republicans are going to be hitting the Obama/Rezko relationship pretty hard and I would think it would be better to get it out of the way in the primary than be broadsided by it in the general. May not be anything there, but Obama sure has not been very forthcoming.

For me, shows that Obama does not necessarily get things right on day one and that he is not necessarily a different kind of politician, as there seems to have been enough questionable activity from Rezko in the past that Obama should have cut ties with him quite some time ago. Sorts of looks to me like both individuals used each other; i.e., Obama to get some of the necessary funding for his campaigns to get where he wanted to be and Rezko offering his financial assistance in return for favors (although we are not sure about the extent of those favors, if many, because our corporate media has done its usual bangup job of avoiding investigating the relationship).

Obama and Clinton BOTH go on Fox. And team up to use the debate to call out Fox, publically, live on television, on Fox's own network stating what Fox really is, a propaganda machine. They stay calm, collected; they talk about intelligent topics. They call Fox out for the networks

Bill O'Reilly's blood pressure creeps higher and higher, his blotchy face grows blotchier and redder, his eyes begin to bulge, his chin creeps further into the recesses of his waddle until he loses his shit and is dragged away in a white jacket with shiny silver buckles up and down the back.

Sorry -- daydreaming again. I still don't know what to make of Clinton's agreeing to Fox debates but I don't think it's the Hillary as Voldemort scenario the violent anti-Hillary footsoldiers insist. I don't like it, but I like her so I'm torn.

Maybe Hillary agreed to the debate because she has faced the republican propaganda machine oft before and has been able. Might be thinking that she can present herself and maybe dispel a little of that "Bad witch of the democratic party" that a good number of Obama supporters, and possibly some republicans, want to tag her with.

Would be interesting to see Barack and Hillary turn the tables on Fox and label it for what it is.

It's growing hard to tell the difference between some of the republican Clinton haters and the overzealous Obama supporters with their equally poisonous comments here. I'm not comfortable with the Fox setting - they are irredeemable. But I'm a thinking person who is curious as to the reasoning...

Why try proving something to fake people, fake nuass. They don't deserve to hold a debate. The are not qualified. Fake video, fake jurnalist, sucker viewers, REAL SEXUAL HARRASSER, they should have fired, if they had integrity.

Don't go on Fox News. They only want to legitimize themselves as a news agency. Ignore them and any ruckus made will erode and expose them.

Why would Mr. Obama go on Faux News when anyone with a brain in there head...well accept the 2 million brain washed dummys that watch Bill the pervert rant about crap..would even waste there time with Fox News. I also think it's great that old GW is going to root for Mccain because all that will do is take more votes away from him...as everyone knows if GW likes you...it's the kiss of death....Go Obama

Fox needs them more than they need Fox.
After all their slander, this network should not be given the credibility.
Papa Bear is worried he will lose his importance if they continue to ignore him.
The candidates should talk to the likes of Charlie Rose or they will simply end up shouted down and mocked.
I would not bother to watch a Fox interview with them, it would be a waste of time.

Here's a classic opportunity to show the world how both Hillary amd Obama can handle a bully -- namely O'Reilly -- and the bully's gang at Fox News. You handle a bully, of course, by getting in the first smack in the face, then not letting up. Both O and H have to come out swinging. If O'Reilly -- better yet, Chris Wallace -- "moderate" -- then it would be wonderful for them to both slap him silly, wiping that George Bush smirk of his face!

Sort of my sentiments too. Would be fun to watch Barack and Hillary take Fox News down a peg or two no matter who the moderator(s) is/are. Read Pres. Clinton's interview with Chris Wallace oh a year or so ago when Pres. Clinton did a pretty good job on Chris. Would love to see or read something like that again.

I think Obama and Hillary should both go on OReilly. Dennis Kucinich has done it a number of times and O'Reilly always speaks highly of Kucinich. O'Reilly is actually kind of a push over and I haven't heard him in the past speak negatively about Obama. O'Reilly is easily flattered.

Hey O'Lielly, why don't you bring in vets like Jon Soltz and Paul Rieckhoff to debate at YOUR own risk?

The unfair and unbalanced lying falafel boy needs to STFU. What's this "at your peril" supposed to mean?

What are you going to do loofah? Smear and lie?
